which HU should i buy?

hi all shifu..
i need a help from all shifu, i'm planning to get a good HU for the 1st stage of upgrade my ICE. i need to know which HU considered a high end range? and any suggestion which model should i go for?

i have a used pioneer deh-8650 4 sale...rm 1800

the display is colour screen

can b set into passive setup o fully active wit the hu

can go 2 24db xover slope

with tht HU make sure u can find the amps that can take such high volts...
i'm currecntly using alpine , only 4volts preouts.. luckily i choose that... if not i would have to change all my amps...

Dude, get alpine. The sound quality is superb. I have used 2 alpine players..... now going for the 3rd one.............simply because thot of upgrading. Alpine players are from japan so imagine the quality lah. Get it from the authorised dealer only because he knows the best. Do u know that i came all the way from Sbn to Sunway juz to get it.........ha ha ha simply because he is the authorised dealer. Anyway juz an opinion only, u r free to choose any players to ur taste. Happy shopping

Alpines are good as they include many featuers but I find the sound to be not as good as other brands... its too clear and the vocals r thin. BUt the features they have can even it up.

Yah, it's JS. Depends on the song also lah. Like my one got built in amp............not so powerfull like the external one but good for standard speakers. I like it very much........there is so many function there.............u can tune it according to ur taste..........hmmm....it can play mp3, wma, wav.............that's kool man

it depends on which models are you talking about. Alpine did produce some low end HU which is for the price is expensive.

no one did ask him his budget and what kind of HU is he looking for.

I think you would have to state how much you are willing to spend on a HU for anyone to list out your options.

HUs can cost hundreds and thousands and even tens of thousands....

;)
