I've had OS quad plate on my BNR32 when I got the car.

It's very soft for me, felt similar to my current ORC twin plate (although BloodRed says it's hard).

Honestly, the clutch has nothing to do with speed. Plus it was already in the car, so just used it till it was all worn out. OSG is awesome even in triple or quad plate configuration.

But I feel ORC is slightly smoother. Plus u get the shingggg samurai sword sound upon engine start.

yup...but it can maintain the speed and i feel better grip when using twin plate...:)
the samurai sound very nice but to some when they hear it, they were thinking the car got problem......so noisy....

Last time when I bought my car, the car is came with the OS triple plate R3C. For me, it is hard, therefore after that I downgrade to OS twin plate STR 2CD together install with the Nismo big operating cylinder, now my car is soft like normal car~

Some people tell me the more plates a clutch has, the softer it will be as the plates are smaller.

So that's why quad-plate OSG R4C clutch like Temujin uses is extremely soft.

Biting point is another matter.

I've had before a HKS triple plate clutch. Hardness was not so bad but biting point was like NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET.

Now I'm running an OSG twin-plate, hardness and biting point is so nice just like manual Perodua Kelisa clutch. Tidur also can drive hahaha.

Yes, biting point is another matter.

I think OSG and ORC multiplates are soft enough and nice to drive daily, even in a traffic jam.

But 'soft' and 'nice' is very subjective. I felt my quad-plate OSG was nice and soft but a friend who also drove an stock-clutched ER34 said it was damn hard.

To each his own I guess. Need to try and feel it for urself.
