My purpose to post this new thread is for everyone here to avoid cheated by Blacklisted/Not recommended workshops in Bandar Sunway,Petaling Jaya . If anyone here face any problem before or any complaints , please share it here . Afterthat i will add to list . Tq

i'm quite happy with most of the workshops in bandar sunway.

it's just some of the car allignments shops in Sunway .............. way too expensive !!!!

it's ok to open a thread to blacklist workshops, but at the same time, each and every individual case might have their own reasons for falling out with the workshop..... so be careful..this might end up in a flaming game and we'd have to lock the thread.

i see.like myself just started my car project and i want go to sunway workshops.i heard some workshops cheat/not enough knowledge and bullshits/potong their customers.that's what i worry about.i think other ppl also worry about same thing

well..cheats and conmen are not only in sunway...but all over the places.. the best way is to trust your own instinct and trust proven jobs the particular workshop has done...

usually cheaters don't last very long....

nowadays the word 'proven' also quite subjective.. coz some motherfuckin cons nowadays use 3rd parties to convince pple.. ONLINE and OFFLINE altogether

why must you be jealous at the first place? if you have the time and the willpower you can learn some basic car's mechanic.

i've sent my car to various workshops in sunway and personnally i find them to be ok. perhaps some of them charged their services a lil bit on the high side but thats not cheating right?

2 reasons why they charge high...

1. rental is expensive, they need to cover cost too. its only business

2. you pay for what you get, workmanship expected higher & more detailed (serviced my air-con,bloody expensive! but job well done :top: only complaint is maybe 20% higher price). In U.K, workmanship charge by the hour, good or poor service regardless. Lucky here not like that! I visit workshops almost every week just for maintenance and stay practically the whole day

If you DIY your car more often, you'd learn more about the mechanics of the car instead of just sending to workshops...sending to workshops also need to have strong friendship bonds so they dont treat u as stranger, when that happens....prepare a fat wallet. And not to forget, spend time in the workshop observing what the mech does on ur car, chit chat abit n he'll let in a few secrets...thats where u start learning lor...by experience

if charge high but their work quality and satisfy it's ok .

my friend case
last 2 years he went to 1 bodykit shop at sunway . he want install full original bodykit . morning he go take his car back.after a while in afternoon,the side skirt drop abit bcoz that shop ppl didn't install it properly so he go back that shop.he go complaint and ask that shop ppl to install it back properly.that shop ppl say need extra charge him.my friend argue and complaint.ask boss come out,they said boss not in.at last he get boss's hp number.he call boss.at last boss come to shop.the way of that boss talk like samseng and say need extra charge.at last that boss say "if u not satisfy,just get out and dun come back here again".my friend angry and he say uninstall back everything and install back his car standard bodykit.they uninstall the bodykit.my friend ask for return money but that boss don't want give back.he said it's my friend problem.he ask his worker just throw my friend car standard bodykit into car and ask my friend get out.my friend very angry and he go to other bodykit shop in sunway.he told whole case to that shop ppl.that shop ppl ask how much that shop charge?my friend said rm3-4k.then that worker say "then it's not original,original price higher" .then my friend know he get cheated by that shop d.he very angry.now that shop close d.

the reason why sunway gets higher concentration of con cases it's bcoz the concentration of workshops are higher there.. it's like u go kampung.. stand in d middle of d road.. chances of u being knocked down by a car will be lesser than standing in d middle of the city road... but then again, if u wanna kena knocked down by lembu maybe got la... hahahaha

But sometimes, Sunway in terms of pricing for original goods , is not so bad.

you should try to go places like penang, or kedah, etc , where there is hardly any Tuners/Garages that deals with performance parts ..... meaning there are NO COMPETITORS for the few shops that are open there , and they tend to openly OVER-CHARGE.

RSM there will cost you RM900 to 1.2K !!! and all these workshops have to do, is jusy buy from N1 or another shop in sunway, and ship it over there.
