My Wira 1.5 AT EFI 4G15 is impossible to start when it's hot. Sometimes it displays engine check light (code 21, coolant temp sensor). I changed the coolant temp sensor, spark plug, it's cables, distributor, fuel regulator, fuel filter and fuel pump. Daym that was expensive and unnecessary. I appreciate the DIY experience though.
I also did fuel pressure test and compression test. They are within range. Maybe Lancer repair manual was correct from the beginning. "When it shows faulty coolant temperature sensor but the sensor and its wiring are OK, replace the ECU". But I couldn't do that even if I want to, because ECU PW521601 is no longer available everywhere. I am only left with very few expensive options:
1. Swap engine (RM6000)
2. Use Megasquirt ECU (RM3000)
3. Buy a new car (RM45000)
4. Plug in any MMC ECU (RM800)
Do you guys have better suggestion? Or do you know where can I get ECU PW521601?
