There's a type or check valve that you can find in most of the aquarium shop.
But most of them are made out of plastic.
Some specific aquarium shops or pet shops like AquaEast or maybe the 88 Pets Mart might hold some check valves that made out of bronze which is more expensive and ment to be use for the pressurised CO2 tanks setup for planted tank use.

Normally you can just ask them for Check Valve or One Way Valve
The purpose of it is to ensure that the air-line in the aquarium won't get to siphon water out of the aquarium when the air-pump is of, or the CO2 tank is empty, thus making sure that water won’t flow out from the aquarium in the air-line to the equipments, avoiding damages.
