Bro, need your advice or suggestion for clutch brand to use for EVO.

Ogura
OS Giken
Exedy
other brand ?

If possible, can share the Pros & Cons, so that I can select in future.

That will depend on the purpose that is was intended for, power and torque levels, daily driven, race only?? :)

Is not the brand. Every brand have their range from normal use to Racing, so you need to get what you intend to use it for....

Any Single clutch are sufficient for daily drive and 'touge session.'
Unless you run for track version that will be different story.

Choose your clutch depend on your current mode.
Running with Twin Plate also fun in heavy traffic.

hi dkny,

I am using stock clutch & pressure plate as I have no intention for mods. it is nice and does not tire left leg:)

note: I've never hit above 5,000RPM:)

I am one of those slow jazzy driver:)

Stock clutch where to find ?

any sparepart shop carrying exedy clutch should have.. or u can try trinity stage 1 clutch.. or a.k.a organic clutch.. it is shaped exactly like stock and feel exactly like stock... at least on my car it feels like stock till i not dare to launch with it... and i use it daily driven:driver:

Stock clutch where to find ?

He just mean stock standard or what your car have as standard. I use Exedy stock clutch too for my VR, as I don't track with the car. Is for normal everyday use. 14 years change 3 times, pressure plate twice....:driver:

I never drive with stock clutch before because pre owner change to Ogura Twin plate, so I don't know how it feel, or which one better.
Anyone have information to share with me ?

Twin plate should be performance clutch. Difference is they have stronger bite to transfer the power. Standard clutch and pressure plate are much lighter to the foot, but may not be able to hold if use for dragging and racing.
If you are okay with the twin clutch just get the same as replacement.....

Bro Vr2turbo, u got more information on single vs twin clutch ?

I am using normal Exedy replacement, pressure plate also. Clutch very light, but works for me as I use as daily drive only...:driver:

stock clutch or atleast just heavy duty unit will be sufficient for stock/near stock power level..unless talking about 350WHP power level then only worth the better clutch upgrade

My stock clutch habis on around 20+ launches... :banghead:

It all depends on how you going to drive the car...

For me, i don't daily my Evo, i opt for twin plate instead... i don't want changing the clutch ever a year or so, i want something lasting, that is why i chose twin plate. I am using Ogura as well... but traffic jam it tends to bites harder ! maybe due to heat.. :smokin:
