From the first run, it was going to be a daunting challenge as the car was riddled with gremlins, from trouble dialing in the proper tuning to a premature deploying chute, that stood in the way of a proper run.

Nonetheless, the team was able to get everything running right in time for a final run that was sufficient to bring out the car’s true potential.

“I had to leave for the airport literally right when we made the run as I was headed for a race in Phoenix. I was changing the tune up while we were towing the car back to the pit and I left immediately afterward not really knowing if what I had done would be enough to get them there,” said tuner Shane Tecklenburg.

Shane’s magic came through for the car and the team, netting the top speed record of 383km/h for an Enzo and the Class C category of 6-liter Blown Fuel Modified Sport. Hats off to Richard Losee for having the guts to maximize his Enzo’s potential.
