Hi..newbie here..want to know is anybody using or know something about trust e-manage?
Is it worth install it on DC5R?

For K20A type-r engine E-manage Ultimate + V-manage works best. But with the amount money to be spent on those two, its better to get a Hon da ta.. :D

I read about hondata post in this forum a lot..Is it everyone here who tuned their cpu use hondata?
Beside the price,what are the merit installing hondata?

I use to run e-manage. Doesn't do much really. Its basic function would be controlling A/F ratio similar to a SAFC. Then if u have the ignition harness, u can advance the timing a bit. Then it can control injector upgrades (only applicable if u upgrade injector tho)... thats about it. It not as stable, so setting can 'lari'... the e-manage ultimate has a bit more functions then the e-manage blue and the v-manage allows tweaking of 'bile VTEC bukak' for all these 'intelligent' variable valve engines.... all this manage-manage stuff are known as piggy-backs...

Hondata on the other hand is probaly the best standalone ecu for hondas. Has SOOoo many parameters that it can monitor and control...

Hondata isnt standalone though... its considered a piggyback soddered onto the stock ECU.

but yeah, its probably the best ECU for Hondas especially the K-series engine because of its user friendly interface and all the parameters you can control.

eh? just screws? i was under the impression soldering was needed.

but yeah, its probably the best bang-for-buck mod. and easier to sell off in the future as well.

RM3,000 at JC Racing - includes tuning.

RM2,500 at N1 Racing - includes tuning.

I guess its just down to which tuner you are more comfortable with. I went with JC Racing.

K100 is sufficient. Unless you wanna do datalogging of your engine condition everyday, then get a K-pro. Save the extra RM2,000 for RRC intake + bigger TB. :D

Oh by the way if you happen to bump with Mugen ECU, try it on your car. With the current setup you have I think Mugen ECU would be quite helpful to extract few more ponies for daily driving pleasure. It's plug n play so no need to worry about CEL issue etc..

depends on budget. they both function the same.

Difference:
Kpro - Can be re-tuned at anytime because of built in USB port, and you will be able to pull data from the ECU if you wish to. Tuning can be done by any tuner with the software, knowledge and a dyno.

K100 - Can only be tuned by a tuner with Kpro.

K100 functions more as a "memory stick". You tune with Kpro, download the settings to K100, and then run the car with it.

Price difference also quite massive - RM4,800 vs RM3,000.

If you're not planning on tuning your car yourself, or changing parts every week, K100 is more than enough.
