There are a few things that can be done in times of grave emergencies.

Your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for
survival. Check out the things that you can do with it:

*1*

*
The Emergency Number worldwide for
**Mobile** is 112 .* If you find
yourself out of coverage area of your mobile network and there is an

emergency,
dial 112 and the mobile will search any existing network to
establish the emergency number for you,
and interestingly this number 112
can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.
**Try it out.**

Subject:
Have you locked your keys in the car? Does you car have remote
keys?*

This may come in handy someday. Good reason to own a cell phone:

If you lock your keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call
someone at home on their cell phone from your cell phone.

Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person
at your home press the unlock button, holding it near the mobile phone on
their end. Your car will unlock.
Saves someone from having to drive your
keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be hundreds of miles away,
and if you can reach someone who has the other "remote" for your car, you

can unlock the doors (or the trunk).

Editor's Note:
*It works fine! We tried it out and it unlocked our car
over a cell phone!"*

Battery power

Imagine your cell battery is
very low , you are expecting an important call
and you don't have a charger.
Nokia instrument comes with a reserve
battery.
To activate, press the keys *3370# Your cell will restart with
this reserve and the instrument will show a
50% increase in battery. This
reserve will get charged when you charge your cell next time.

How to disable a STOLEN mobile phone?

To check your Mobile phone's serial number, key in the following digits on
your phone:

* # 0 6 #

A 15 digit code will appear on the screen. This number is unique to your
handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. when your phone get
stolen, you can phone your service provider and give them this code. They
will then be able to block your handset so even if the thief changes the
SIM card, your phone will be totally useless.

You probably won't get your phone back, but at least you know that whoever
stole it can't use/sell it either.

If everybody does this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile

phones.

nice infor!.......
there some post previously giving suggestion whereby u hide a spare phone in your car and have it as a GSM tracker or sort.
Use Maxis or Digi Friend Finder whenever you're out of luck when your car is being stolen!

the 2nd subject. locked the keys in the car. i tried the same method mentioned but it did not work.

bro...i want to try the battery....but after press then...how...can tell me the step..thankss..

btw..very usefull

No. 1 works but I never completed the call anyway.

No. 2. I tried it with stock proton alarm, it doesn't work. There's just no logic to it. I believe wj_03802 just copied and paste from a forwarded mail. hehehe

No. 3. I didn't try this but what I notice about Nokia phoen is that... if you are low on battery, turn off your phone for a while, maybe a minute or two. Then turn it back on. There should be just that little bit of battery power left for some sms. For notebook owners, get a USB phone charger. For everybody else, get a car charger if you've got a car. For everybody and everybody, buy a second battery and fully charge both of it.

No. 4. Yep. It's true.

hmm.... smart o. I copy n paste. My friend forwarded that to me :X-:. I tried the first one only... I found out is true...

hahaha.. wj... satria bro very keng 1...
nothing can cheat him

KeV-TEC,
Who say nothing can cheat me? I got cheated by those in the "nice place to eat" thread so many times. All say "come, let's dim sum" but then... end up... I am the only one waiting at the restaurant for them. End up, I had to eat 5 people's dim sum cos I was alone there..... NOT. hahaha Actually, I got cheated by wj_03802. I go and try no. 2 which I know logically can't be true anyway. boo hoo.... I'd prefer it if she cheated me in bed instead... boo hoo....
hahahaha

wj_03802,
I actually received it long time ago. hehe By the way, what does your nick name mean? Curious la.

war your news so keng n update man..
like that also u know wj a girl wei... hahahaha

No 3: *3370# doesn't work with all Nokia models ler. The only logical way I can think of during an emergency is to heat up your battery with hairdryer or something and then put back into phone. The heat will speed up the chemical reaction in the battery and you can get more power out of it.

No 2: As satria_95 says there's no logic to this. Unless your remote works by voice authentication la hehehehe

Dunno bout the rest but no 4 is nt true..it cant work guys..phone n sim card is 2 diff things..a service provider can discontinue ur sim card but nt the phone..if u do nt want your stolen phone to b used by others..activate ur phone security feature..and changing the default security code!!
Anyway nowdayz u can just bring the stolen phone to a hand phone shop to b flashed wif the software..so u still cant stop thieves from stealing..

have a nice day..
cheers!

NO 1: i tried it....worked!!

NO 2: is not true
i watched 8tv quickie one night and they and their friend try to do this method and the truth speak theirselves. it didnot work lah

NO 3: *3370# then what? call?
because i tried to press call button and what i got is; 'Result Unknown' hehe

NO 4: i experience this by myself. I lost my mobile on Oct 2004 and i got this msg being pass tru ym for quite sometimes ago. I personally called nokia and maxis. both of them said there are no such thing; they cannot block the stolen mobile to make a call or etc.

i totally agree with number 4. lost a nokia in oct 2003. i called nokia international and they said they will inform me if anyone sends that phone to the nokia authorized dealer. however, no news. i also called maxis to ask them to block my phone or what. they passed me on to few people and at last one fella said there is no such thing.

For no. 4, you can block your sim card from any usage. You could also set a security pin on your phone so that when it is powered on, it will prompt for the security pin. However, even with the phone's security pin, I'll just take it to Sungai Wang, pay a bit of RM's and the phone will be back to normal. haha

cook eggs ?

http://www.kp.ru/daily/23694.4/52233/print/ - translated in quotation

How To Cook an Egg with Mobile Phones

I might add it takes approximately 2 minutes of speaking on a cellular phone for the radiation to cross the protective Blood Brain Barrier. So whenever there is a landline available, use it in preference to your cell.

Enjoy the interesting article I received from the Raw Family... How Two Russian Journalists Cooked an Egg with their Mobile Phones

Vladimir Lagovski and Andrei Moiseynko from Komsomolskaya Pravda Newspaper in Moscow decided to learn first-hand how harmful cell phones are. There is no magic in cooking with your cell phone. The secret is in the radio waves that the cell phone radiates.

The journalists created a simple microwave structure as shown in the picture. They called from one cell phone to the other and left both phones on talking mode. They placed a tape recorder next to phones to imitate sounds of speaking so the phones would stay on.

After, 15 minutes: The egg became slightly warm.

25 minutes: The egg became very warm.

40 minutes: The egg became very hot.

65 minutes: The egg was cooked. (As you can see.)

Conclusion 1: Cooking eggs with mobile phones is possible but very expensive (US$4.55 or 123 Rubles)

Conclusion 2: All this talk of danger is exaggerated; even if your brain gets cooked, it would take a couple hours of talking on a cell phone.

Conclusion 3: We do not recommend carrying cell phone in your pants. (it will be able to fry your balls)
