about skiming the head it depends.. when u open ur engine head.. they will see ur condition of ur gasket..?? if very worned out then u must change and maybe skim.. if terrbile then need 2 skim if its ok just change.. one more thing i want 2 ask... did ur temp go up when u stuck in jam.?? if ur answer is no..?? it might be ur radiator is stuck due to dirt inside
try 2 clean it first.
bcoz if gasket heated... or burn.... at anytime ur temp will go up.. especially traffic jam...
