Full bragging rights can be attained with any supercar from Italy. But if every rich kid has one, then you’re not really any more special are you? So this brings customisation to the table, ensuring yours is one of a kind. If that still doesn’t cut it, then you’ll need to go full out racing spec.

The coachbuilt custom modern interpretation of the Lancia Stratos for instance, guarantees Michael Stotschek the ultimate bragging rights. Nonetheless, even though the excitement hasn’t faded yet, news of a racing version are already simmering on the interwebs.

This time around though, the racing version of the modern Stratos will prove its mettle on the circuit under GT2 guise instead of on the dirt roads of the rally world.

All the engineering work is reportedly being carried out by Danisi Engineering, which have previous collaborations with Alfa Romeo, Iveco and Pininfarina on all kinds of racing machinery, ranging from touring cars to Dakar rally trucks.

Toeing the line, details are scarce right now but high-end model studio Amalgam already has a 1:8 scale diecast model in the works with some serious liveries and aero mods. We can’t wait for the Stratos GT2 to live it up on the track against the more seasoned cars.
