Audi teases the A7 before official reveal on 26 July

The Dutch might have missed out on their first World Cup but they are the first to get a teaser ad of the Audi A7 Sportback that will be officially unveiled on 26 July in Germany.

The boys from Ingolstadt will unveil the car at a special event to be held at the Pinakothek der Moderne München, a modern art museum situated right behind enemy lines in the center of Munich, home of BMW.

Although no other details have been disclosed regarding the unveiling, we know for sure that it will be the production version of the 2009 Sportback Concept and will be mechanically related to the next generation Audi A6.

The fastback design that gives it a rakish roofline puts the Mercedes-Benz CLS right in the line of fire for the A7 Sportback.

And making no qualms about who it intends to dethrone as the king of the four coupe segment, the A7 Sportback will make its public debut at the Paris Motor Show come September’s end together with the 2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS.
