The Lancia Stratos made its name on the world rallying stage and the moment a modern interpretation of the Stratos was commissioned, we all hoped that we could see it make a return to the rallying world once again.
Fortunately for us, Michael Stoschek, the man behind the reincarnation of the Stratos, was on the same train of thought. So once his lethal metal wedge was done, he took it rallying at the 2011 Sachsenrallye in Zwickau, Germany.
So how does the Ferrari-sourced 4.3 liter V8, pushing out 532hp mind you, sound like as it’s being flogged to submission on the asphalt? Like a banshee wailing during the throngs of climaxing.
If we had to be picky, we would rather have seen the Stratos kick up some dirt as the rally took place on the public streets of the town. Although it looked like a nimble rocket, darting its way through the streets, some gravel stains and flying mud would be the icing on the cake.
