You talking about the flat surface of the windscreen? If yes, then wiper should be faulty. If talking about the side, the windscreen curves, so if wipers to long the ends won't touch, that is why I shorten my wiper purchase for the left one by 1 inch....

Finally today I bought a pair of silicone wipers @ RM99

I find it not noisy as claimed by many, only some streaky sound when its dry....

Well I guess everything will be noisy when its dry, only water makes the difference.

Overall I am not too satisfied with the SW because even its a 26 in blade, it wipes only like 23inches

The remaining 3 inches at the top end is not in contact with the windscreen..

I think the blade is curved and not straight flat...

Is it normal or its faulty?

Any comment any idea anyone ?:questionmark::hmmmm2::motz:
What brand?

SWV and PIAA both need the windscreen to be very very clean prior to installation and usage, and come with a alcohol wipe to wipe clean the windscreen. PIAA in particular is important as it leaves behind a layer on the windscreen to repel water, I suspect is silicon.

My I dont see any brand, I trusted the salesperson, he even fixed for me, but if he play dirty, I will throw the wipers back and ask for full refund...

But be honest, my cars wiper mounting is not the ordinary type, so its a specialised product gotto pay
more even its of the same quality...

Will test the wipers few more days to see if the end wipes evenly, if not got to go back and see him..

Today I already bent the untouched side of the wipers, hope it performs perfectly...:biggrin:

My PIAA ones came with multiple different clips to clip onto the wiper arms. Also Duraplus silicon wipers are absolute crap. The last time I used this wiper the silicon (supposed to be silicon) deformed and the metal bracket holding the wiper had direct contact on my windscreen. So it basically scratched the windscreen like hell and there wasn't anything I could do since it was raining.

Silicone deformed? Silicone very springy and tough unlike rubber. Probably something fake....

If it is Duraedge then I have not seen the silicone ones yet, but Duraedge got warranty mah!
Used to be lifetime, then change to 5 years, lately seen in Hypermarket now only 2 years warranty but they are rubber wipers...

I come across the PIAA label wiper on sale in Ace Hardware @ Mid Valley but did not check it out. Going below rm50 if am not wrong.

Just wanna share my experience. My Rain-X treated windscreen turn blurry after changing to silicone wiper. Wiper tend to judder during heavy rain too. Maybe due to the low quality silicone wiper.

I can't recall if it was duraedge or duraplus. But like you said they have warranty, but it doesn't cover the windscreen damage. I called and checked! !@)#(!@)%*!@()&#!@(^%#

Silicon wipers leave behind a layer of silicon or something on the glass. Your rain-x IS a layer of something on your windscreen. So two layers put together that don't mix = blur. Suggest if you use silicon, don't use rain-x.

My ex colleague had issues too with the Duraedge. The end clip holding the rubber wipers flew off and the metal frame came in contact with the windscreen and scratch it.....:banghead: Like you say no warranty on that but windscreen already scratch and cannot repair....:banghead::banghead: He temporary tied it down and then later change it also...

I am using Rain X with the silicone wipers without problems....:driver:
