Sorry to ask this noob question, please give comment
1) what the effect by adding another midbox... removing the cat ( so the current midbox would be 2?
2) just remove the cat ( 1 midbox )
current setting 421 xtractor, 1midbox and s flow muffler, ori piping in 1.5wira manual.

remove the cat would be good for few extra hp, add bullet to reduce the noise. maybe u could try straight flow exhaust since you are driving manual.

1. midbox reduces sound (as u can see its physically look, flat type would give u better noise filtering) means adding another one will definitely reduce more exhaust noise...however, empty midbox will be restricting ur power... removing cat is a way to improve exhaust flowing which will increase little power only but noticeable...
2. ur setup gives better economic driving but wont give better power ...i suggest u get ur sflow muffler changed, ori piping changed to 1.7"-1.8" inlet...midbox should be working good...if empty, buang saja..dont keep..

Bro i got a question regarding what u have explained, why do u say empty midbox will restrict power?? How long for a midbox to be empty??

anyone here can suggest me what piping size is suitable for my stock 4g13?

Empty midbox will create more space for the exhaust to circulate inside and does not flows directly to outside. Delay for the gases to travel out for this case is called 'restriction'.

The suitable piping size is 1.7" inlet. Depends on your driving style. If you drive more on city, don't change full piping. But, if you drive highway + city, you should change full piping 1.7"inlet.

normally how long before the midbox become empty... or all the fiber are burned.... is it possible just to add the fiber only?

midbox very dependent on the driver..if u r normal driver, good midbox can stand u bout 2 years.

Add fiber only? Changing a new one is even cheaper than to add fiber ..it's possible, but, not worth it...

When you hear your muffler's making louder noise compared to the time you install the mid box, its one of the indication that midbox is empty. correct me if i m wrong.

if i change to 4-2-1 extractor,
do I need to remove the cat converter?

its up to u. but if u remove it, it will free a few hp, but bad for the environment.

pifecto14: depends on ur muffler also..but u r right about the midbox/bullet

savvy001: take it off la..hehe;)

kweng : So how's the FC like after taking out the CAT ? have u taken it out before?

nitrus,
take out the CAT mostly ur FC will be higher....but sometime it depends on ur exhaust setup also loh.....and the most important things about FC is ur "Right Foot"......after change exhaust, sure ur "right leg" ichy one........hahhaha......
is ur "right foot" control the FC.......

kweng : no CAT la ... the fella died last time when i placed it in the cabin for too long.. dunno died of suffocation or heat... hehahhaa kidding ..

i changed to bullet la no more CAT.
