Naming convention in a race team ussually involves the Title Sponsor, Team and Vehicle. For Formula one it is usually Sponsor, Team-Engine supplier. Hence West McLaren-Mercedes or in the case of Williams it is currently BMW-Williams F1.

The official name for the R3 team is on the title. Proton (sponsor & owner) R3 (team) Amprex (team), the same as the team name in SGT. The machine is known as the Lotus Exige 300RR

For full mouthfull effect its Proton R3 Amprex Lotus Exige 300RR (pronounced with a Japanese accent during Super GT)

in my opinion bout misleading branding issue, HMRT is totaly crap..CLAIM THEY USE UNMODIFIED 2.0L I-VTEC in daily newspaper.. come on man..totaly tipu public. At least PROTON R3 AMPREX quite clear/honest bout their media approaches...

but most true honda enthusiast already knows whats really inside. How, what HMRT does, doesnt matter.

Yota & nissan locally arent really that bothered as their image dont really revolves around "racing". The private teams/ local racing enthusiast will carry that for them.

Unfortunately the hypocrits at HM will never sell the Type-R vehicles officially. Furthermore they're trying to ban new units from being brought in by grey importers.
 
yeah..i read in AUTOCAR sometime ago,type R K's series already claimed as new engineering exploration. the mag says if it couple with BMW speedgear system sure become KILLING MACHINE..good things is how can untuned typeR engine rev till 9K with reability is a true engineering innovation.. does somebody ever heard/read bout MUGEN SPEC SPEEDGEAR FOR DC5?

few years back, PETRONAS RACING TEAM use PULSAR with 1.6L Neo VVL 210bhp. already got nice 10 best final. correct me if i'm wrong..also few 4throttle 101 4AGE on SEG.. ayya..

anyway to participate in MME is a thing, to qualify is other thing, to last 12hr is the best thing.. to win 5 best places in each classes is the greatest thing..it not easy i think. 3hr each driver + full concerntration.. :eek: :smile:

Actually each doraiba is limited to a MAX 75 minutes at one stint, capped at 5 hrs total max per driver.
