Noisy Tappet - 4G93P

thankfully my mechanic has been a really good friend to me and was patient enough to see me get through the whole ordeal. yes, it is a time consuming exercise. some ppl can actually DIY this with the proper tools.
i hesitate to give you guys my mechanic's number. the reason is coz, as good a guy as he is, i still had to supervise the whole process, and it took me 2 whole days at his workshop. like someone mentioned here, they are also businessmen. supervision is very important so that you make sure exactly what you want the mechanic to do, and nothing more ( like changin to synthetic 'bloody' expensive oil BEFORE your approval )
adjuster sounds are the worse !
so good luck and godspeed to you......

At first I was sceptical about putting in engine oil additives. I did many research. So far, Tufoil has never been sued by the FCC.

I think Slick 50 might have gotten in trouble with the FCC before. Therefore, I narrowed it down to Tufoil.

Here is the interesting bit. Prior to using Castrol Magnatec + Tufoil, I was on Motul semi-synthetic. Motul was really nice.. my engine just rev up the rpm range so effortlessly.
When I switch to Castrol Magnatec + Tufoil, my engine rev as easily as when it was using Motul.

So conclusion is I save $$ by going the Castrol Magnatec + Tufoil route.

I have used Q8 fully synthetic oil b4... it's good also. But at that time, I didn't use Tufoil.
I believe when I used Q8, the tappet sound was less too
