Exactly! Thats why I dont belive on buying spark plug cables first, but as they say... to each his own :rolleyes:
hmmm, how big/strong the spark depends on your spark plug and not to mention your coil as well. If your coil can't produce enough voltage to ignite the plugs, what's the use if u change to a super-expensive-high-performance plug cable? this is just my layman's theory, not sure whether it's true or not... don't shoot me :rolleyes:
bigger sparks = better combustion = more hp but i don't think u can feel it at all the hp u gained. maybe u can notice in dyno charts but obviously not when u are driving it. some engines will respond or idle better because of a more stable electricity flow, i think.
Actually, most of the branded after market maker claim that their plug cable can deliver stronger spark at the spark plug compare to stock's. They can even show it on their demo. However, does it improve hp? Theorithically, yes. Practically... some was able confirm it by dyno chart which is, only very very small increase in %. If your are running a high hp engine, small % can become a 5hp. But if you are running SVT/BT, then small % can be "ignoring figure" from sciencetific calculation point of view![]()
