Newbie need help here.

Hi, my name is mint, i'm new here. Honestly i just bought a daihatsu charade aura and unfortunately I found my car got white smoke when the engine is hot and i felt the timing for the car is weird. Three question here:

1.Wat kind of engine can I change? (no need to be turbo, jz last time I seen one with power steering which tat guy said it's come with d engine but i forget wat engine he use.)

2.If i need to repair, is it i need to overhoul the engine and normally how much this going cost me?

3.Which idea u all think is better? Chnge it or overhoul it?

I always heard allan name when ask abt question regarding daihatsu and actually i have his number, jz i haven't have time and cash to go over there =)
