hi all..new member here..curruntly m using JL 650 comp..n using alpine 9853 HU.m thinkin of changing my com to alpine..possibly type x or ddlinear..do u guys think i should change my speaker??ddlinear DLX F177 is my choice rite now.m using alpine V12 amp

Hi, thinking about Alpine... yeah it good brand but last time lorr... I think the market right know we have alot choice... If the price RM2k... my choice is scanspeak mid & tweeter find use 1..

wah...2k to get used scanspeak mid n tweeter...... quite difficult though....
most people with scanspeak won't sell..... and won't sell that cheap.... they're worth much more...heheh
but if can find...it's good deal

depends la what type of music u listen to. get the type x if u listen to songs with more bass like hip hop or rock, etc. get the DDL if u listen to more musical stuff, instrumental, accoustic, classics, jazz, etc.

not to say the type x cant handle the instrumental part, just that the tweeter for the DDL seems to give more detail, but for me i feel a bit sharp-ish. also not to say the DDL mids cant play bass, just that i feel the type-x bass is more. aslo DDL easy to install, small magnet small frame compared to type X.

thank u for the explanation..another thing is..is it worth for me to change from JL to Alpine?i will take DDlinear..bass not power enough nvm la,cos hav sub type r in the trunk..
