hello guys.
just a noob here
i dont know much about ICE,
i'm dring 120Y with ok setup of ICE (done by my dad)

the setup goes like this ..
clarion H/U with 6cd changer
2 front tweeter
2 speaker (dont know what speaker) = both door got
2 Speaker (rear) with 2 rear tweeter
2x8" Subwoofer in boot

2x amplifier (not check the name and power of both amp)
1 crossover (dont know what type crossover)
1 equalizer ? dont know the name of controller or whatever you guys call it ...

my problem is ...
both speaker at rear and doors sound like old 60's speaker wwithout any bass or whatever ...

when i switch off my subwoofer ( using the crossover ) what i can hear from my speaker just a normal 60's speaker without any bass .. and its LOUD.
thos tweeter also cant hear much .. i mean tweeter got a bit sss sound ..
i also can hear distortion sound from my speaker ..

cd changer- got problem .. cant read most of cd .. when i change track .. it will show PAUS3 or 3RR0R .. i sent to ACC shop to repair .. they said better buy new one ..

btw thx in advanced .

need help. :) newbie in ice technology :D

if speakers are too loud and sub are too soft u can play with the eq, and/or the level gains at the crossover, or at the amp as last resort. on the eq u can reduce the level for the high frequencies (3k, 8k, 10k, etc) and increase the lower frequencies (40hz, 80hz, etc)

yeap yeap i play with eq oledi ... and u turn some setting on crossover ..
a bit ok .. but still loud (vocal) .. i need a smooth sound ... but my speaker produce 60's LOUD .... omg ..

Bring your car to the nearest TT to search for proper, mentionally detailed solution.

If belanja someone Nasi Ayam he might tune it for you to get the best out of what you've got

hi ficxky,

have you checked if all d equipment and cables
in your set up are in good working condition?

just a tot...

cheers.

not check yet.

i'm not understand about midbass ..
erm .. what i can hear from some friends car .. when they switch off their subwoofer from crossover .. i still can hear got bass around thos speaker ..
while my speaker not produce even a little bass ..
except the sub ..

maybe your high pass for the front components are too high, try to lower it around 55-75 Hz

bro' zenn,

no offend. since our fren's stuff are pretty old/aged, i think it is
better have them check first. if they are not in good working order,
how to adjust to acheive those frequency range?

cheers.

Who will know? The best is use your ears to test it. Nothing more and nothing less.
