Hi all hondarian,

i'm here to post behalf of my buddy...

he is using a 1984 old honda accord (model:sa6Y) but with a b18c twincam vtec.
the headache starts when send to workshop for top overhaul due to conrode bearing noisy. the foreman changed timingbelt full set(already 2 yrs), lay grindshaft & conrode bearing to size 0.25. skimpped head. Thats all..... but, when the car is on the road with a full tank of RM100, its juz moves around 200km only until reserve tank lights up. which means Rm10 for average of 20Km. why so much fuel consumed??? in the past, b4 send to workshop, my car simply can move around 350km until reserve tank lights up for short distance drive & up to 460km for long distance drive. any advise or any solution to bring back the car to the normal situation? my fren claimed he had checked all wiring & beneath the for any fuel leaking, all ok. can something be wrong with fuel injection, or any solution??? pls helppppppppppppp

check your o2 sensor. if its dead and faulty, change it. bad o2 causes bad fuel consumption. also check your sparkplugs seating, if 1 of them has some misfiring, you might end up running richer, or at least consuming more fuel.

hope this helps.
