Need advice to upgrade audio system on Myvi

my amp only 2 channels.. so it worth less to drive rear door speaker while im using the amp only for bass output on the shelf..and front speaker is 4" which doesnt need high power at all..its not weird im afraid..because front speaker loud than other speaker without using amp! here i hate to to turn on bass at HU EQ which cause stupid sound on my rear door and dashboard speaker why i need those bass if already got all bass from boot shelf speaker..am i right masta?...

Real SQ, you throw the rear speakers out. The singer is in front of you, not behind you. That’s assuming you tune the SQ for the “throne” which is the driver’s seat.

yes this totally what i do! but when u increase bass on HU EQ its will push bass at ur front component also right!? and u said front component without amp..its will sound pretty irritating right?
Mine is okay by my standard. Front for vocal, my sub have separate sub control.....

First of all, I'm no master. Just an enthusiast.

Do you plan on upgrading your equipment? You need to think about what you have vs what you want

Does your HU have a cross over function? Which means does it also have a separate RCA output for the sub? If it does then you can just hook up the power amp from that sub RCA output, then you set the cross over between 50-80hz (you need to play around toe get the sound you like the most). This way your front and rear speakers will not get much bass as the bass frequency will mostly go to the sub only. So when you play around with your bass EQ, it won't affect the speakers much but you will mostly hear it from the sub only. This should be the more common setup.

thank you mate..i think this is the solution that i need. because i dont have crossover at all..but my rear door and dashboard already install 4" and 6" coxial 2 way..do i need crossover for them too? and my sub i used setting from power amp to make only bass out did i need corssover also..its really make big difference?

yess im planning to upgrade like the post earlier like to put pre amp..back then im totally confused

Coaxial speakers have some resistors wired on already. You need cross overs when using components speakers, meaning separate tweeters and speakers, cross overs to split the high and low to each components.....

You'd need cross over for both high and low frequencies so that the satellite speakers in the dash and rear doors will not get the low bass while the sub will not get the mid-high frequencies. Now since you already have a power amp which I assume for the sub, usually it will already contain at least a low pass cross over for the sub so you can hook up the sub and cut out the high frequencies there (I think that is what you've been playing around with your setting on the amp). Now what I think you're still missing is the high pass cross over for your satellite speakers to cut out the low frequencies. Now since I assume you don't want to add anymore power amp to minimize cost, then you need to get a passive cross over for your satellites. The passive cross over will be wired within the speaker cable output between the HU and the speakers (meaning the speaker output from your HU will connect to the cross over first then from the cross over you connect to the satellites).

He will still need cross over to filter out the low frequencies to the satellite speakers, even if coaxial. Otherwise his coaxial will still play the low bass frequencies which is intended for the sub.

Oh! he power sub from normal output, then he need a cross over for low frequency, however he does not need cross over high frequency for the coaxial speakers since the coaxial also need low for the 6" speaker. My sub powered from HU sub out which is low frequency already....

Yup that's why I asked earlier if his HU has a sub output but it seems no, so need an additional passive cross over for the satellites. If his power amp also doesn't have cross over, then he'd also need another low passive cross over for the sub.
