guys,

anyone having MSD Ignition System on his RB26???

what model suits the engine?

any significant improvement on the performance?

A friend running
Haltech E11v2
2 X MSD DIS 4
6 X MSD Blaster SS Coil

on this RB26DETT before
performance wise is good
but he sell off his car already

MSD DIS 4 x 2
Each MSD cost you RM2.5k = RM5k

MSD Blaster SS Coil
x 6 . RM 300 x 6 = RM 1800

MSD Universal Plug cable, termination, cover RM700

so total is RM 7500

Actually you can just run 1 unit CDI on wasted spark configuration .... That would save you "RM2500" ...

If yours is a S.1 33-GTR without built-in ignitors, that's even easier/cheaper ...

The more common one's are MSD, M&W, AEMs ... These are the better brands. Previously I have used an MSD 6A which is kind of bulky, but I think most are going for the MSD DIS-4 which is newer.

Personally, I am about to try out the AEMs C2DI twin capacitors. Suppose to give a better spark response with built-in dual capacitors ... Also, you want to make sure you get one with a tacho output as some of the older one's does not ...

I used the MSD in AUS, and bringing the M&W's in from the US. I am sure any of the respectable tuners could get it (MSD which is more common) for you. Personally, if you are not running 4-channel ecu, it would save you alot more trouble or money to just use HKS Twin Power instead, with Splitfire ignitors if you wish.

KSP carry MSD product
M&W so far i dont see any dealer at malaysia nor singapore

Before you go ahead with MSD, you need to know what ECU you using.
