MOTEC M400 ECU for gen2

m1adam,

Bro, you are right, na is just a na, unless you have big cc engine.

guys..need some info. do u know how much is it for a 2nd hand motec m400?? im seriously in love with motec :)

m1adam,

actually, why don't you accept the fact that campro has its advantage... yeah, maybe low end torque is damn poor, but to me, i love the high revving engine... hehehe.... the power comes right after 3.5k-4krpm... and that's the fun begins.. and for anything below 3.5k rpm, i think its quite alright for normal city driving. :)

huh , as i knw CPS has nt been enabled yet , VIM is also nt
hw do u define high rev , as i knw campro isnt one

hmmm high rev as in the power comes during high revs.. thats how i felt... below 3 k not so much power... but after that till redline is when the party starts :) hehehhee

usually mitsu cars like our waja 1.6 got very gud low end torque at 1.5-2.5rpm got lotsa torque but 4 gen2 the torque band is from 3krpm-4krpm so it a slightly hi rev engine but torque drops after 4krpm,revving to red line will allow the campro to produce higher output.

campro is nt realy a high rev engine cant get torque at revs higher than 4k so the new CPS engine will set the name as high rev engine.

hmmmmmm m1adam, do u think this CPS system can be plug n play with our existing campro?

from what i heard, no... but proton should make cps that can plug and play to existing campro, if cannot plug n play, plz atleast make cps that can modify to current engine to equip it

yeah..ur right. if cannot, then it would be very ma fan to the existing owners... or maybe they're still figuring out how to make it possible to plug n play.. maybe thats wat taking them so long.. hmmmmm

anyway..for Proton runing on Siemens....try take a look on your DYNO CHART...this will show why alot power increase on starting 3.6k rpm coz the A/f meter have show that fuel mapping increase point at 3.8k rpm...all the way to 6krpm then drop....slowly..therfore at the range on 4k-6k rpm...you will feel more power..

i tink convert our existing campro 2 CPS is possible coz proton still use same cylinder block just transplant the CPS head, the CPS engine ctrl harness,CPS ECU,The Variable Intake Manifold and the CPS TB,sure can 1 but need big bucks hahahahahahaha

then future proton halfcut the price will be mad like vtec engine hehehe.. yeah i also think like m1adam, cps can put on current campro but not plug n play, need to do some modification...

could be added by proton, oil coolers is the way to have higher revs with better cooling for the lub.

interesting piece... i'm also searching information on Motec for campro engines.

cuscobracestrut bro,
basically, we need to take care of the ignition coil and also the drive by wire option. Any other stuff that we need to look out for?

What can we expect in performance gain? 5%?

RM8000+/- for 5% gain? phew.... good luck

i just want to increase the low end torque campro has very low torque at the low end modding the exhaust system itself cant do the job maybe make it even worst .

read the latest hypertune. Powerzone (near Batu 3) header increase 9 hp to neo campro.

cuscostrutbrace bro, thank you thank you. Now i know its kind of a hassle to use the system on campros....

What other brands of ecu (piggyback or standalone) that might work well with siemen's EMS700?

try PerfectPower SMT7 piggyback, i am using it right now. It can work well with EMS700 with the proper wiring done. Support our closed loop circuit mapping as well.

Mostly all DOHC engine behave similar la...

usually mitsu cars like our waja 1.6 got very gud low end torque at 1.5-2.5rpm got lotsa torque but 4 gen2 the torque band is from 3krpm-4krpm so it a slightly hi rev engine but torque drops after 4krpm,revving to red line will allow the campro to produce higher output.

Waja? You meant the SOHC version right? All SOHC designed to have good low end torque. I have a SOHC car only 12V but able to kick in strong torque during 2k rpm. DOHC is a different setup and design thu.

hmmmmmm m1adam, do u think this CPS system can be plug n play with our existing campro?

I would say YES and NO. YES is yes and NO is we need extra gadget.

RM8000+/- for 5% gain? phew.... good luck

RM8k for 5% is not worth it. My current dyno is 112whp and 149nm after using SMT7 with minor mod: exhaust, ignition coil, CAI and spark plug only.

My 2 cents on SMT7 and CAMPRO, correct me if i m wrong. Thank you
