Hi GRexer,

I'd like to look at the condition of the alarm first. Btw, how many remote do you have?

The installation cost for Wira is RM150 inclusive of actuator for trunk release.

Hm... i still have both the remotes, but i wasn't really hoping the old alarm is worth anything much also, have to get the alarm done before other things done first, damn lots of easy break in nowadays. :(

do it have extra function such as paging ?

like viper they hav 1 sticker attach at the windscreen..
and it will blink ....
when u knock it ..it will page the user at the remote there..

The paging function works this way. You tap the car windscreen and it triggers the alarm. The alarm send signal to remote.

So this function can be used in ALL 2 way alarm with shock sensor. radiostar is no exception.

Hi, my experience with Radia Star has been rewarding but for 2 occations.

For the past few months, in 2 occations when I disarm the car, the doors are still lock (i.e. i cant open the door). What i did was to disarm then open the door manually using the key.

The funny thing is that the problem above will go away after a short drive.

Pls advice

Doesn't sound like an electronics problem. Could it be that the central locking servo/actuator isn't unlocking the door properly?

p.s. Does this affect the passenger door as well?

I press every single button :P remote start, communication button etc etc. The darn doors just wont unlock even though it has been disarmed! Oh ya, I used the auto boot release function, it did not work too.

Given that I can disarm the car but unable to unlock it, I used the key to unlock the car, hop in, put on the safety belt.....(etc etc :P) drive to what ever destination I desire. After parking the car, I will arm the car using the remote, surprise surpise the alarm is armed and the doors will lock. But when I try to disarm and unlock, I am able to disarm but not unlock. So what i did was, I arm the car and leave it as it is (the car is still locked anyway). When I return after 2 hours or so, I am able to dissarm and unlock, everything is back to normal

Fyi, this scenario only happen twice.

might be the actuator for the central lock loosen up. happen to me b4. i let ah meng fix the actuator and thighthened up everything.

is the problem fixed?

sounds like a mechanical problem rather than alarm related coz the remote did send signal to main unit to disarm. The main unit then send the signal to central to unlock. I would think this is central lock problem.

like I said, it only hapen twice. At the moment my alarm (or is it the central locking) is working great. Will go to meng koh if I have trouble with it again.
