Dear Zth, Need to know whether is it worth changing to RB25 or RB26? Need more Power thats why. I heard that RB26 quite hard to get spare parts right? Please Help!

What model u plan to fit it in?124?201?. If its power ure craving for..then i guess thats the cheapest n most effective wayla.But if u wanna talk about reliability..not too sure.Depends which mech. u go to.Things like this..better to pay extra n get a pro to do it.In terms of parts..not too sure.Think sr20 is good enoughla..dont be too greedy.

What car are u driving? W124 series.. if u hunger for power.. why not try the 1996 C230 kompresor's engine... try to get that engine.. the power is about 260-280bhp if i remember correctly... and at least u are still using a benz engine.. the half cut would cost i think about 30-40k.. can't remember... good luck

No doubt..there are high HP engines frm Merz, but compare the price diff.furthermore..maintainance.I mean..if money is wat u have then of course..get another merz enginelor..its always advisable to stick w the same engine manufacturer. For ppl that needs power but dont have that much of cash power...jap engine is the only way out. you can get an rb25 or sr20 for about 3-4k.thats only 10% of a c230k engine. n im sure parts will be cheaper than merz parts.pros n cons dude..
For me..say if its a w124..the car is quite old already.No point dumping in another 30k for a transplant.Better just get another car with that money.at the end of the day...its just my 2cents.

yeah true enough no point dumping so much money.. but some times.. chipping in some money 2 touch up a car is dem satisfying.. like tom's bmw... I know someone who had spend about 100k on his w124.. really looks nice... and sure is hell of a nice car 2 drive... there a sort of satisfaction i guess... the original rims AMG rims cost a bomb itself... but i guess its down to one's taste... for me all out for the car.... sometimes we spend hell alot on the ice system too... so its really up to you.. what u want.. just my 2 cents..

bro.... y u dint try for 1JZ? supra 2.5 tt. a lot of ppl using it. the performance is better than rb25. as the ppl i know. merz 190, 200, alteza, cefiro, also go for 1jz, the price also cheap. so try to consider it.
