KE70 suspension

Hi

I introduced myself in the intro's thread.

Bascially need some info about the ke70 suspension. I have a stock 2 door saloon ke70 with the 4k engine. I want to start with the handling and wanted some info and advice.

Was thinking of getting some uprated ae86 springs and dampers for the ke70. will they fit front and rear ones? Its so damn hard to find stuff fo my ke here in UK!!

either that or I was thinking ae86front struts with hubs and steering arms............ anyone selling and will ship to UK?? :tongue:

or any info about making the car handle better? I've searched all threads even read acoustic's website (informative and great info :top: )

but still can't find out if aftermarket front springs and dampers and rear springs and dampers fit on the ke70 no poblems!!?

try to get advice from Titan suspension system....go to their website then give a visit to their shop...sure puas hati one...if i'm not mistaken they can custom adjustable for u....try and c

eh eh.. he's in UK you ask him come all the way to Titan's shop??

as for the suspension, AE86's rear suspension will fit in KE70 just nice. However the front will be abit different, but still usable, i just heard from someone say that it is abit too low for KE70, so somehow if you can get a height adjustable set then i think it might be okay.

i'm saving up money for suspension for my ke70 too :D

lol only now getting into ke70 but lack of parts here so need some international help and knowledge.

So 86 springs and dampers fit on the rear np, but the fronts might not fit. I read on Sifu Acoustic's website and that the 86 damper housing doesnt fit into the ke70 strut.... so I'm thinking of getting the whole ae86 strut, shock and spring, hubs calipers and brakes, and the steering arms too.

Anyone know of any available??? that will ship internationally

What ke70 setup you guys looking at getting as another option?

why not try KYB? i think they are available in UK too right, there is once i look for KYB's part number in KYB uk site

if titan it's better to have ur car there, do it on spot...
edmund has sent his twice back to titan liao...
why don they keep record for the suspension that they've
made... just duplicate it.

tell titan to record edmund's suspension setup, next time us ke70 owner can direct get a usable set.

i also dunno why they don't record down the setting. if they do, see how many ke70 in the world, and with such a good reputation i'm sure they can do alot of business world wide

also I would like to think TiTAN would do international as a few owners worldwide would be interested, unless mostly go for 86 swap over?

Acoustic is in china now, rarely see him in the forum except once in a while. wait until initial D 4th stage has some release i'm sure he will be in the forum again, hmm... next release is 15th october :D

not all KYB shocks are performance shocks, some are just stock absorber replacement that provide better than stock performance. I've seen some people modify their ke70 to fit in performance KYB shocks instead of using the set that is design for ke70.

i remember tauhutauhu say something like his mech's ke70 use the spring from a lorry or something.. not much info...

unfortunately you are right about the shocks being standard replacements :thumpdown

but I also noticed the part no. for rear shock for ke70 is:

343036
(for EXCEL-G) and that is the same for the AE86

but the fronts are:

363023 (KE70)
365015 (AE86)

So.... just looks like I can get any 86 uprated suspension parts for the back and need to get either ke uprated bits i.e. shocks and springs or get the whole 86 front strut and then I can get 86 bits......

I think I'm sorted that side of things just wating for someone on here to respond

I was looking at some LEDA coilover custom made ones that look so sweet and are made to spec (similar to TiTAN) but they were a bit too far and massively expensive!!! for a cheap project car terms.

Also looking at some brand new OEM toyota 86 struts as i have a frend who works for toyota and gets 15% discount on parts........

I tihnk the toyota stuff is kept in a huge storage area either in uk or EU. I guess parts are ordered in and are transported around to the dealers....

how's your ke70? and ken's ke70? he is the one i heard from that say stock AE86 front suspension is too short and the tires is going into the fenders. been a while since i visit l2tt so lost track of the situation :D

yeah i been there, but it seems alot of the mods are for other rolla's
