KE70 problems....

hello guys..just wanna ask for ur opinion and help..my father has toyota ke70 mata bulat...he loves this car eventhough he got his new altis...the problem here is his KE70 always cannot start...have to push than start the engine...he keep on repairs his KE70 to mechanic...but the problem still go on...usually when he start, i can heard "ktak..ktak..ktak..ktak.." like someting was wrong with the ignition....when he sent to workshop,they said change the altenator..but when they change it or maybe they fixed it, after a few month, the same problem happened again...so to all toyotarian, i need ur help and ur opinion..what was wrong with this KE70?

check the battery, check the starter, and check the alternator.
If everything is in good condition, should be very easy to start.

Bro,
This happen due to the edge of the starting sistem wiring.......for Ke70...
1. U can either sent in to check the wiring or
2. Get a relay and do the new wiring to the starter .It will be only 1 kick to start....

owhh ic..its wiring problem meh..?i've checked the batery..all in good condition...just cant start..i luv to ride with this car..but since the problem occured, never drive again...hmmm owhh,about the wiring, can anyone suggest me a good workshop who can fix my ke70...?im staying in cheras..so perhaps any near by workshop around cheras area...thanx again buddy...

I have done mine in S'wak. The problem solve. But your's I think you need to ask the wiring guy at ur place to check........ :proud:

can fix your ke70 ... my ke70 1 single crank everytime, any weather.

I guess its time to swap out the heart to 4AGE 16V or 4AGE 20V BT =)

haha..cannot sell la..my father will kill me..he loves that car so much...anyway thanx again ya bro..ill try contact the numbers given...anyway i think my father wont change the engine..he always said "laju2 mau pg mana..terbang ka?"haha after that never mentioned about changing engine....but i wonder la, sometime my father like to cucuk other car from back if he drive ke70..i dunno why...hahahaa..........

like i said..ke70 is like kereta kebal....peace!!

Like everyone said, its either alternator, starter wiring. But the K engine is one tough cookie.

Hey sexycar, how much did you pay for the wiring job? I got a quote of about RM1200 for mine to replace everything. Still pondering.
