JL Audio speakers, sub woofers and amps are well known for their SQ capability plus not lacking in loudness as well (i.e SPL). They don't come cheap but they are well built.

JL make great subs and they are quite SQ based than SPL. now they even have amps & speakers, unfortunately we cant get them easily in msia. the distributor is half dead half coma type. most ppl i know get their JL from singapore.

i dont remember JL claim to be a SPL subs.
