How to remove burnt oil stains on SS exhaust extractor

I support that idea. If it aint broke, dont fix it.

Original comes with a metal plate/shield at the front. I think it's to prevent the air from the fan cooling the headers. Wonder if I should get the exhaust fella to fashion one for me.

Well, you are right. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. My mechanic did told me that if I want to mount a full sized radiator, I need to make some welding modification below to mount the right side of the radiator. Or maybe I can go for those Taiwan aluminum radiator which is available in half size.

What 4-2-1 header is this? Stock 4G93 in your C99 Wira?

Here's a pic of the header I replaced recently. Since my car doesn't have a 02 sensor, they welded the port shut.

Paid 250 for it. How much did it cost you, RENESIS?

The Hotbit's unit was 1-piece. Had difficulty removing it. I asked them to cut it into 2. This is also to prevent the old header from being re-patched and later re-sold.

Now looking at your extractor, the 2 to 1 joint before the flexible bellow, does not look smooth/straight. A bit bent at an angle......:smokin:

If you look at the stock unit, there's a kink after the flexible joint. I think the bend which you are referring to is to avoid that.

Your engine bay has a lots of space between the header and the radiator fan. Can put one of those fancy extractors with long runners. Mine doesnt have such space

Mine is even worse haha had to grind off the fan bracket a bit to clear the runners

even 4g92 sohc also stock came with 4-2-1.... but with shorter runner....and casted

Means it is still not as effective as an aftermarket 4-2-1 with longer runners?

I heard Wira SE comes with 4-2-1 as well but I think it is differently designed compared to what I installed.

If you look at stock exhaust, 2 to 1 start at the curve in front on the engine. Aftermarket joins at under the engine near the flexible bellow....:driver:

Yeah. But why stock ones join so early? Save costs again?

Does this kind of joining early setup offer any advantage over aftermarket? Or aftermarket is totally better in every aspect?

Stock as far as I know is tuned to be average in everything, power, consumption etc. etc.....you would have heard people complain loosing low end, gain high end and all those stuff, right?

Yes I have. But after installing my 4-2-1 extractor, I can say that I felt no losses anywhere. Is better than stock in every aspect so far. There is a very slight increase in exhaust sound but I am okay with that.

it was effective to some extend...

for daily stock use and better fc....YES...

but for speed freak and different engine powerband tune, definately not... coz out of their designated workscope....

If aiming for top end power, 4-1 should be better.

There is a product called "magic stain" made by Yoshimura. it is 10x lesser effort than autosol. I highly recommend this.
