how much is a SOHC VTEC engine for EJ???

my engine got overheated last year and the head was skimmed and head gasket also got replace. but now my radiator water level is reducing fast (like i need to fill it up every month) and i found some white milky compound whenever i open up the radiator cap. my mechanic told me the block got crack already so water is flowing into the combusion chamber and vice versa. he advice me to replace the engine. so i need to know:

1. how much is a SOHC VTEC engine for EJ?
2. how much is the workmanship to replace engine?
3. any other cost like registration? how much?
4. any other thing that i need to take note when i replace my engine? like how to look for a good condition engine? do i need to replace the head gasket? etc.

thanks for all the advice. if you happen to know a nice garage to do a good job on this, please feel free to recommend me also.

i'm no sifu, but based on my personal experience.

1. how much is a SOHC VTEC engine for EJ?
this one no idea, maybe rm1000-2000? ask hattech-v, he got limitless supply in his shop

2. how much is the workmanship to replace engine?
if from same chassis, rm1000, if diff chassis, rm1500 if i remember right, the price quoted to me from avantech.

3. any other cost like registration? how much?
erm, not sure 1.6sohc -> 1.6sohc, but mine cost me around rm500 from sohc to dohc. should be less i think, or maybe equal. put it as a safe margin.

4. any other thing that i need to take note when i replace my engine? like how to look for a good condition engine? do i need to replace the head gasket? etc.
get a good mech to follow u, they can tell whether the engine is in good condition or not. replace if its leaking, otherwise, use until it leaks.. that's what i did.. haha haven't leaked till today.
