piston weight?

That one varies ah.. that's why those kind of weights doesn't matter.. usually balancing your engine include balancing the piston weights, so canai here and there... no specific weight already. :P

hattech,

How bout spoiler? EK9 / DC2R / Mugen etc..

If we use CF parts like hood / spoiler etc, how much difference there can make in terms of dieting the car

The above reduced 47.9kgs

Items that can reduce weight when changed to these (ori weight - aftermarket weight) :
CF bonnet : 16-7 = 9kgs
3-spoke sports steering wheel : 3-1 = 2kgs
Full bucket seat : 25-14 = 11kgs
4-1 jasma header : 10-6 = 4kgs
Lightweight flywheel : 7-4 = 3kgs
CF side mirror : 1.5x2 - 0.5x2 = 2kgs
Lightweight underdrive pulley : 1.5-0.5 = 1kg
Remove Rear interior side panels (EK hatchback) : 3kgx2 = 6kgs
Remove centre console box : 2kgs
Lightweight coilovers : 5x4 - 3.5x4 = 6kgs

The above reduced : 46kgs

But if you think u just want a drag machine and just wanna focus on going straight and not turning :_: , then u hv successfully reduced about 94kgs.
But since honda's are not used for only going straight, then i'd suggest putting in these :
Rear strut bar : 1.5kgs
Fender bars : 0.5kgx2 = 1kg
Room bar : 3kgs
Total to add : 5.5kgs

Nett reduction = 88.5kgs

Moral of the story : Don just go straight :_:

no wonder la i used 99spec taiwan bonet i feel so heavy one ... its 2kg heavy compare to ori one.

You guys forgot the power steering assembly.. some weight trim off that too.. still a streetable setup.. though parking becomes quite some work.
