Help Needed....blacktop Auto

Hi John,

Forgot edy la 111/101, but it fit nicely....maybe 101. I changed to 8mm coz the original was 7mm....u still can use 7mm but the fuel pressure will be higher....I refered to one of EFN posting....original 4AFE is using 8mm, so I guess it make sense to change to 8mm coz 2E used carb while 4A used EFI...

I've not install the fuel pressure gauge to see what is my fuel pressure but my fc is around 350-300km per RM50 (13-11km/L)...is it ok?

My car is using 8mm hose wif bosch external fuel pump, RM80 full tank can go around 400km

hehehe.... If the case happen as you mention... I'm sure is using the external fuel pump la....

If want to solve this problem... I got 1 suggestion... Equip the (I forgot what they call already, but it put at the middle of the car and the thing like spare tank), u can found this only the track car. :_:

For save money, i suggest you to always fill the petrol over middle line. :_:

U mean the oil catch tank is it, now the jerking is start to disappear but, still got a bit when I floored the pedal during long left corner

Just wanna ask bout fuel warning light....which level it start to turn on?....I suspect my fuel warning light burnt coz it still off when the needle touch empty, but when I check the bulb is still ok

hmm... last time my car jerk when cornering wih low fuel. when the engine is cold, very sluggish pick up. like not enuf fuel. never see my warning light on ever since 20v. :(

last week change my fuel tank. the mech told me to drive till E so that he has less hasstle. ahah... anyway did that and when i sent my car there, took out tank, got 20 over litres of fuel. ????:Not_Impressed: nowander no light la.

change tank, drove around. jerking corner, and fuel light problem all solved. :D still abit sluggish on pick up, could it be the fuel line?

p/s: now i have spare lenvin fuel pump. who wants cheap cheap? hehe..

Not Oil Catch Tank la... The oil catch tank is use to capture the oil over flood on high rev and keep the Trottle Body clean.

The thing that i mention is something like Gravity Center Tank (or some sort like that), i forgoted already.

Emmmm....seems like fuel tank problem, John mind tell me which level the fuel warning light will on....how much u change ur tank?

edgeo I don't know whether you using the same tank and same meter as me or not. I also have the same problem like you firstly, after that I found it's not a big problem. The light will start glow for 1~2 sec when you first almost touching Empty line. by that time you still can go for about 100~150km then only the light will start glow again. If you just want to test the bulb only, just remove the bulb from the meter and change to other place to test lo....

Hi Raymond,

I'm using wagon white face meter, and from the first day I drive with new engine, the light never turn on even the fuel needle almost past E. Another thing is the needle will drop faster from middle line to empty but when above middle line its drop very slow...is this normal?

I'm thingking of testing my fuel meter by having spare petrol and drive till fully empty to see which level is near empty

I think all car also like that ... when the petrol is almost full or more than half tank, it drop quite slowly.... when it reach to half of the meter then it will drop more faster....

yeah it Was the ori caarb furl tank. changed all for around 300 with pump.

just drive on. maybe u can see the light later. :)

I agree with brother Raymond coz mine also same like that when Full Tank is very hard to see drop to half tank but if from half tank...hehe Damm fast it will drop to E.... then the light will BLINK....hehehe....
