Basically any FR will do. However, I'm more bias towards Nissan and Toyota. Nissan Silvia, Cefiro A31, Skyline RWD and Laurel C33 are the popular choices, not forgeting the legendary AE86 and the budget KE70.
Set your target on these cars first, then go on and think of the mods that Skagee suggested.
Also, drifting are best done with a 2-way multiplate LSD, and you would also like to have adjustable caster in addition to adjustable camber and toe settings. Stiffer anti-roll bars can do wonders to your suspension sometimes. Power, you don't really need a lot of them, but it's easier to learn with a torquey car. Having more torque, you don't need to carry a lot of momentum into and throughout a corner, and may save you from hitting something out of a bad spin.
