Gt3076

SDF, do you have s366 in stock with t4 ar .83?
what is the size of compressor housing?

wah wah :) , can u pls pm me the price of the Borg Warner S256 Extended Tip , bt ops, i dnt tink u all will have bullseye turbine housings

hoho jin..'org bagi betis u mintak peha lah' hahaha..

Malaysian people loved horsepower very much...i personally said better used garrett turbo..

i dont say borgwarner (bw) no good..BW turbo r good..but.. we must select the rite turbo for building horsepower or we'll waste our money..
compare with garrett turbo..Garrett turbo if much easier to choose the rite turbo..cheaper also..

my example:...extended tip impeller wheel r mostly made from cnc machined not casting product ...hoho how much it cost us ...lu pikir la sendiri...:hmmmm:

just my 2cent, 25cent,20cent,50cent of thought....:marchmellow:

most garret base turbo that using the cnc process for the compressor wheel proven to produce more power and cost a lot more.. eg GT850R from PTE and HTA turbo from FP.

For cheap guy that cannot afford a knocked resistant fuel and high cost cnc garrett impeller, a pump gas friendly turbo like BW is our only choice.

well..i'd say Garrett GT series are VERY affordable in malaysia these days..tonnes of street cars zoom around with these...

So i'd not really compare apple vs apple..it's a different category..

With the economy of having huge volume pushed out into the markets...Garrett has managed to bring high performance to an affordable level..and so did us (Turbo One) who had helped bring in these stuffs into malaysia in big quantities as well...so everyone could afford it with ease.. ;)

most cnc impeller can produce power due to stronger material characteristic..we should know that cnc product stronger then casting..BW still using journal bearing..while PTE, CGC already used garrett duall BB core..off cause it cost us more Ringgit Malaysia :bawling:

stronger compressor wheel enable them to be machine a bit thinner and lighter.. it help on the spool which why the spool of bw turbo comparable with the same size garret BB turbo...

PTE able to sell the same turbo spec as garret with lower price. FP sell it a higher price maybe because they do their own R&D and machining for the wheel.

Any info on the PTE GT850 or GT850R? Is it available in Malaysia?

nice bro..
haha.. yup their reduce the inertia of the rotating assembly..one more thing..for me bw surface finish is awesome...journal spool like BB..hehe..

about the price no comment la bro..never buy 1 :bawling:

NOPE info about the spec.. but i sure that is their own code for their own spec..also dont know ist available or not :hmmmm:

not sure bout malaysia, but in US and Aussie , lot of drag cars on it, hehe , borgwarner last time is Schwitzer kan, but if we compare BW and Garrett prices in malaysia, the garretts will be cheaper instead, opposite of whts in US , sure production plant , import export n such differs :D

if malaysia also Borg Warner S300 series sold for around 1k USD , huhuhuhu , tasty :P

back to the main topic if we can. i've searched around and found out the are 2 housing for the GT30r @ GT3076R (SDF please reconfirm). from what i gathered the turbine wheel/trim spec are the same but the different is at the compressor cover which one is using the 6 blade T04e ar.60 housing with ported shroud and the other one using the 7 blade T04s ar.70 housing. planning to run on my 4 cyl 1.8l very soon. my question is:
1) does both compressor have the same 56trim wheel?
2) does 800cc injector enough running up to 30psi?
3) at what range does the boost comes in using the ar.63 hotside on a 1.8l with standard cams but running standalone? any rough figures would be nice. :)

went to tong turbo the other day and he only has the 7 blade t04s comp housing in stock. price is quite reasonable and i am more keen on the 0.63 turbine housing with my 1.8l and not revving more then 8krpm i think this would be the best bang for the buck.

please advice.

lazarus.. you're right

the specs are pretty messed up all over the world , either online or on catalog. Ok here goes..
GT3076 has 2 variants,
GT3076R with T04S a/r 0.70 Comp housing with T04S style wheel trim aka 7blades
GT3076RS aka GT3037R aka HKS spec with T04E a/r 0.60 comp housing with GT35 style wheel trim aka 6blades

and your homework proves right as well, a street car on stock cams would be best running on 0.63 turbine housing.

Bang for the buck...take GT3076RS aka GT3037R....very nice turbo.

SDF: thanks for the reply bro. Sadly Tong doesn't have that model in stock. i was wondering how does the GT30R w/ T04s ar.70 housing performs compared to the T04e ar.60 housing? any major differences other then the blades and housing? anyway u got PM bro.
