More Powerful Engine For RX-7


azda has confirmed it is developing a more powerful rotary engine for the upcoming RX-7 and an MPS version of the RX-8. The company has been testing various systems, including electrically-boosted turbochargers and superchargers. With the recent ending of the Japanese 'gentleman's agreement' on power levels, it is almost certain that a forced-induction rotary engine would top 300bhp.

hrm...well i hope so, but when come bigger hp means more realibility of engine need to be revised as the 93-97 gen FDs are weak in their oil cooling, those that were produced in 1998 onwards have better oil lubricating n cooling structures, and i hope! i really hope! better solutions to the apex seals! heheeh
