haishh..i can see a lot of people talking about the quality of proton cars la.. sorry for u kevlee..dat was really sad..and again..i wanna touch a bit about QC again.. i received my car early 2009 and now its 2010 and guess wat.. i've already do alignment and cambers ( 2 months using this car tayar dah senget.. ) burned bulbs, my back wiper jammed and stop working ( stuck in the middle till today, really annoys me when im driving ) and much2 more.. n sometimes i was wandering..how in the hell everytime i'm refuelling even though the warning light had came out..the max i can put is somewhere around RM 60 and above that petrol will melimpah for sure.. and i never get to see the needle of my fuel meter as full..really wt*!!

and i have a friend whom bought gen2 cps together wif me..but his prob was different pulak.. :banghead: overall..my point is that..takkan when u wanna buy proton..u have to pray for your luck rite? why la this people never learn..we're trying to help them..this is wat we get..sad la..

And again..like my 1st post..lucky the engine make me happy..even though its not very powerful..im quite satisfied..but just once i received temperature problem 4/5 of the meter coz usually its below 1/2 the meter @ 85C..

I've removed the cat con and use hotbits 4-1 header ( but carefull, dont use this..actually they said for gen2 its 4-2-1, im using neo cps header, so the "nenas" was clearly visible, its actually out by 1/2 of the exhaust track..silapla... :banghead: ), drop in K&N and ultra racing 3 point strut bar...spot rim still stock..and stock s-flow muffler.. and overall..really can feel the power..different than when using cat con.. and i've smoked my fren's stock gen2 cps last time we tested..hehehe

Changing to aftermarket 421 is to gain smoother outlet compare with stock.
Of coz, this changing able to reduce pumping loss but have to watch out on low end torque.
Stock set up mainly is focus on low end torque.

I am thinking to get this gen 2 cps since its price is within my budget.. I would like to mod it on cosmetics and little touch up on the power in near future.. need you guys opinion either to take new or used... hhmmmpphh..

Used Gen 2 cps is quite rare in market now. Better take new car to enjoy the warranty.
My car still keeping stock, just changing sport rim, tyre and put in voltage stabilizer.
FC wise, I'm very happy on it as can enjoy 0.13cent / km with RON 95.
Of coz, 70~80% is in highway.:biggrin:

Must be the stupid SC use this spec of engine oil. Same as mine during the 5k service, thus i bring my own oil on 10k service. Please insist them use the right spec, it will make ur car lighter...

When I question why 15W-50, they claimed that is recommended from Proton ....:hmmmm:

They must be not studying the Gen 2 CPS manual.:confused: U can show it to them that in the manual stated 10W30. I think in their SC, they maybe only carry one kind of engine oil spec, they must be using same spec oil for all kind of cars. This would make their job much more easier.

What ashame they have this kind of working attitude. With that oil, u may feel ur car more sluggish, but don't worry, it's harmless, but only make your heart feel uncomfortable. :mad:

Next time do't visit the SC again,try to go to those which allow u bring your own oil.:idea:

still we me..still better maintenance cost, still rare(ppl obviously though its same gen2 first model until they been smoke out..mostly 2x price jap)manual and more aftermarket part.been charge with pnp sprintex for just 180hp..no need hundread toyol like most of same segment jap car.indeed they should sell aftermarket chassis n floor..haha..n ha
