anyone know how to top up our engine (use 4g1x)??
i want try to diy this head gasket and open the timing belt...
heheheh it crazy , anyone can help me??

wat r u trying to say?? wat is top up?? od u mean increase de displacement by putting in a thicker gasket?
 
no la,, thincker gasket?? i try to top overhaul my bro old iswara... help me i aolso want to change the timing belt ...anyone know ... what tool to use..okies thanks
 
walau abit extreme lehh,timing belt i think mayeb ok larr,top over haull is too big project liao..
ok timing belt,agak agak tips larr...
1st of couse take out all u belt lorrr,direct unscrew that water pump 4 pcs 10mm nut first,the AC belt unscrew that 17mm bearing nut,then unscrew that up side 12mm nut until u belt drop out.
2.now all u belt out liao,unscrew u crank shaft pully 4 pcs 10mm nut n 19mm nut.
3.top 3 pcs 10mm nut unscrew,then center the cover 4 pcs 10 mm nut unscrew...
4.ok u can see u timing belt liao,happy lehh,now put back teh 19mm nut to turn u ening timing marking,up pully u can see hv 1 aero 1,let it state at u head hv 1 line 1,slow slwo spot ok...below u can see that small pully hv 1 long dot 1,in u block also hv 1 dot 1,let they stata to gather,after timing marking kau tim,unscrew the timing bearing 2 pcs 12mm nut,then u timingbelt will longgar liao,take out timingbelt now,n unscrew u engine mouting 2 psc screw let the belt coem out.
5.now unscrew up n down pully to chaneg oil seal...hati hati ohhh,dont make shaft calar ohhh,if not oil leak mahh hai lat.
6.after change oil seal mahh put back that 2 pcs pully lorrr,now comfirm u pully marking is correct,n put it new timing belt inside,then put new timing bearing,then use taht bearing adjsut until u timing belt tight...
7.ok all pasang balik mahh ok liao lorr..
P/S: better dont DIY larrr,give work shop chaneg they also charge around rm50 for labour only larr.dont worry,if u diy fail,hehe u engien will blow 1 lehh dont play play.

I don't mean to insult, but please improve your english first. Not many can "layan" in proper BM.

Not really an extreme project if the engine is at ur disposal, better consult mech's opinion and understand the whole process.
 
I think he wants to DIY top overhaul (head overhaul)

Its an interesting DIY but first you got to get yourself a torque wrench and a repair manual for the tightning sequence and part nos.

Not a simple DIY job but neverthenless, its challenge.

You mentioned about putting thicker gasket.

If u put thicker gasket, won't that actually reduce your engine's compression which is bad? Normally, ppl reduce their compression bcs they want to turbocharged their engines.

why dont just send to ppl that experience to do it...

its not an easy job + i dont think you will have enuf equipment (air gun, and all those big tools) ++ "experience"

if let say you make a single mistake, you will need to redo all over again, or maybe some screw loose or some parts crack... and DIY will NEVER be fun anymore brother.
 
yaya sent to work shop do larr....then stand beside see how he do also very syiok 1 marrr..then u know liao mahh can try on nather car lorrrr....

yalo.... hope the mechanic doesnt kick u out cuz of ur numerous questions.... but then wat is said is true.... Nvr DIY ur head unless u know wat u r doing...
