Guys,

After plug in the coilover for few months, this is my observation:

1) Reduce the body roll
2) Sensitivity on road surface condition, directly reflection.
3) Absorbing the road surface is weak even though with softer spring rate and hydraulic abs.
4) High speed and high speed conering is weak, Is it because of weak absorbing affected?

Btw, my spring rate is 50/200 at front, 15/200 at rear for Satria.

Any opinion? pls share.. Thanks:wavey:

Wat brand do u using bro??
Im have used GAB hi lo kit for 2 months now...
All i can say that my car handles better than ever...
If u using a secondhand set u might wanna try to service it back...
Juz my 2cents....

What is your car and how much you bought? :wavey:

I use GAB at front and HotBit at the rear.
Btw, what is ur observation after install?
Do the abs do well on absorbing uneven road surface?
I can feel my car wheel slipping when go to uneven road surface.

Hmmm...might be your compression ratio and spring rate is not suited to the weight of the car. I suggest to go back to the shop where you fitted it and re-do the set up. I have never heard people having problems with he 2 brands you use. Good luck.:wavey:

My spring rate is 50/200 in 1.6L engine.
I think this is normal set right?

5K springs are kinda soft for 1.6 engine.. u should use 6K springs is u are using GAB shocks.

rear should be 3K for satria..

when u use coilovers.. ur demand for tyres will increase dramaitcally.. as the limits of the tyres will easily reached... skidding on uneven roads are normal for adjustables especially u are using stiff shocks and short stroke or lowered settings...

try to adjust your car higher.. n u shall get more traction on uneven road. :driver:

To go one step further for tighter chasis may suggest to change your stock bushings too.

Ihad been tested with 6K spring rate.. is kinda bumpy.
That why I go for 50/200 spring set.:banghead:

well i guess the shocks are not stiff enough for the 6K springs... oh maybe your engine is lighter due to aluminium block... i kept thinking of metal block... heheh...

i found this statement on car height is true for my ride. the original spring height works much better in terms of speed and handling stability compared to a lowered set up. new bushings for the absorbers and axles does improves handling and comfort too. due to my luvs for Gombak - Karak hi speed driving, my mech and i also noticed that keeping the tie rods checked and changed regularly will also improved handling, on top of the regular checks at the UR bar at the lower arm.
for better tyre grips on uneven roads, get ur tyre guys to advice u on the softest tyre setting possible, or u could just experiment deflating ur tyre a bit, a little at a time till it doesn't skid so much or too bumpy, without getting a tyre drag. a tyre compression gauge will surely helps.
hope this helps

dont forget to double check your camber and castor angles too~ to extreme a setting may cause sluggishness or even tip toe at high speeds.

ok guys,
My engine is Mivec.
Tyre pressure is set at 210 at front and 200 at reat with 195/50/15.
Floor clearance is 2 fingers gap between tyre and fender.

Pls advise.. Thanks.

i used hks adjustable las time..but its too bumpy and forced me to take it out...im with sports absorber and springs now..its quite hard but its acceptable for me...
