Can we airtrek plug n play with evo mr cam without any adjustment?

Evo 4 to Evo 8 cam = plug n play. Valves are hydrolic and needs no adjustment. Evo 9 Mivec cannot.

Evo cams is higher, opens sooner, closes later. The intake and exhaust cycle for valve open period + overlapping to optimize power band. So in other words, the result is wider powerband, higher torque and more responsive feel.

Bro,

how much did it cost you to get the cams changed? Forgot if you had installed any adjustable cam pulley.. What are the cam degree?

I've NOT installed the adjustable cam-pulley yet. Not now.. but soon to come. Got other projects before that. Cam degree FYI below :

I know E9 Mivec cam cannot be used in the older versions of E4-8 because the cam profile is meant for Mivec. On what are the difference, I am not sure because never done any detail study before.

Bro, meaning that have a special cam for E9 MR Mivec? I thinking to plan to upgrade my E9 MR I future !!

Yes. E9 MR (Mivec Turbo) cam is different. If you plan to upgrade E9 MR in future, why do you want the E9 cam now? Your future E9 engine already comes with the cam in it.

Sorry , existing with E9 MR stock engine ! If want to Upgrage what cam should I looking for!!

I doubt the Mivec cam will benefit ur E9 MR because your engine do not have Mivec. Maybe others can comment.

Visual appearance is undetectable between Airtrek, 7, 8 and 9. They have hollow centers. That's why Ah Wah it's not safe to buy from someone u dunno.

Let me check the airtrek turbo cams in my storage, maybe I can help U all on how to determine whether the cams are genuinely from Evo8 MR =)

Measuring the no-lift area of the Airtrek turbo intake & exhaust cams, I got exactly 30.00mm from my trustee digital caliper...

And at the point with maximum lift... 34.85mm

Subtracting the difference, we have 4.85mm per side (radius), a full circle (diameter) would means we need to multiply 4.85 by 2, so that's a total lift of 9.70mm from our standard Airtrek turbo cams. Based on the cam spec sheet posted by bro Stutz, this means Airtrek turbo has slightly more lift than Evo 4's 9.50mm, but less than Evo 7 & 8's 10.00mm of lift.

Then we're safe to assume that a set of 8MR cams would read more than > 35.00mm if measured & believed to has even higher lift.
