[font=arial, arial, helvetica]Today's spark plugs use resistors to eliminate radio frequency interference (RFI) which can affect on-board computer or ignition systems, Each time the spark jumps across a gap, an electromagnetic field is created that can interfere with radio signals. By placing a resistor in the spark plug, we can substantially reduce RFI. Furthermore, the use of non-resistor plugs with today's complex computer systems can result in driveability problems, loss of performance and can even cause the computer to store trouble codes.

[font=arial, arial, helvetica]When u buy any spark plug from shop make sure the spark plug have R - Resistor.e.g. NGK BPR6ES, BKR6ES or any type of spark. Ask shopper before buy..

[font=arial, arial, helvetica]Ok thanks..

just wanna add. for accurate timing, always use a strobo light whenever changing different plug or cable.the setting will differ when we change this 2. it's bcoz our ignition use ESA (Electronic spark advance) that have a sensor to determine the high current to the combustion. thus the btdc setting also will effect.
i've make test and proof that from Denso W16 set at 10deg, it suddently advance to 12deg using the Bosch super 4.
as per cultus recommended, its much better with R plug. suggest BKR6ES.

to improve more on advance setting when using option chip, the Shell V power is the best.
with high octane, there would be less faouling that cause pinging.

for old car grounding and VS also help. just ensure the voltage supply from alternator is sufficient. not drop too much.

*option chip setting is at 10 - 14 deg BTDC, improve in accelerate but need xtra careful coz over deg can make high load during top speed.

Happy revs dude.

very2 good information guyz..... two thumbs up for cultus and abv....:cool:
i was thinking R is stand for racing......
