hey guys.. was wondering if there are any E30 M3s running around KL coz the ones in Oz get snapped up as soon as they're offered for sale :(

how much do they go for in KL (if any)?

E30 > E46 :P

Ori E30 M3 not many in Malaysia coz it's left hand drive and the engine blows easily. But there are a few converted ones (left & right hand drive) using 6 pot engines (3.0/3.2) which are more reliable. Costs - not sure coz these machines do not change hand thru classifieds!

there are reportedly more than 10 units around....
I have seen 2 ori units. 1 of them is LHD M3 Evo Sport but the blown S14 has been replaced with a stroked M50 engine...

there's also a convert from a 325i 2 door with ori M3 body panels all round running with an E36 M3 3.0 engine...

to be totally honest, i wouldnt mind a 325 with M3 body panels... even though its not an M3.. the look is still what im going for.. if i wanted outright power i might as well have gone for something else... true? but i love the shape man.. to me it looks the most race oriented out of all the M3s

it is the only m3 with racing as its main purpose.

if u r thinking of conversion from the normal E30 body, be prepared with fat bank account. the 2 cars dont share that many same bodyparts. the m3 tail light alone will set you aback RM1k+, besides the cut or used parts are hardly available in our chop shops.

Ever considered the E30 Alpina? Not as rare as an ori. M3 here.

Do you mean me??? :P Totally stup*t previous d*mb owner thrown away the Sport Evolution 2.5L engine and replaced a M50 3.2L engine. What a waste... But after all, power not bad at all.... :D

hahaha, the maestro has surfaced. Shall we organise a drag face for all the 3.0, 3.2 and 2.5 (if any) E30???

i have also asked around n its very expensive to do it...

anyway, with the high demand of the e30 M3 look, i would have thought got lots of ppl would have done the mould n mass produce it... a bit strange that Bumi Fibre or Dai-chi still havent experimented or done the mould n modifications for the car...

i have heard of the Obermaier widebody look for E30 (though not exactly M3 look) but does anybody know anything bout this? care to shed some light n enlighten us?

hey calvin, how did you swap the 2.5 to 3.2 la? JPJ approved easily or not? i might wanna swap 2.0ltr 8V Alfa Romeo 155 to a 3.0ltr 12V engine la. any jalan or not?

Yah lorr...If me I want buy 3.5 litre engine and install 4.2 stroker kit....he heh

I've seen mercedes s500 with RM1 roadtax.....with Sultan of Johore permission

yes, PCD 100 4 lug....

The trick is to find the correct offset for the rims...
for example, the correct offset fr a 15X7 rim should be 25... but most rims in the market now has rim offset of 35++ to cater for the japanese cars.

yep ur absolutely correct dude...nowadays very hard to find such offset below 30..
