I've been noticing some repetitive clicking noises coming from my wheel well lately when coasting to a stop during traffic jams. I suspect its either the inner left driveshaft bearing giving up. I send the car to my friend's shop and he confirmed its my inner driveshaft problem. He adds that this maybe due to lowering my car previously . (really low). After taking out the driveshaft, I was shocked when my friend informed me my AT have LSD gears, hence LSD driftshaft . I was happy and at the sametime worried because you cannot get LSD driveshaft at our local spareparts shop.

Therefore, I shall be really thankful if any ceffie bros can inform me where to buy the LSD driveshaft.

Thanks.

Don't look like a lsd shaft to me. which side? driver or passenger side? the factory LSD box inner shaft is very much longer on the passenger side.

Its the passenger side , send to one of the chop shop . They confirmed its lsd but they dont have stock , have to look for it. I noticed there are like 2 sets of gears on the end of the shaft.

pardon me... What is the LSD drive shaft... ANd whats the difference?
LSD box would let you have better control during highspeed corner. But the downside is they don't sell the replacement parts(new) locally , i think.. Thats why any ceffie member have any info on where to buy it please pm me thanks..

you using original or chop shop g.box? from the look of it, it look normal shaft. i am using a lsd box, i mine sure look much longer than the one show on your picture.

I swapped the whole JDM half-cut 4 years ago. (even the meter reads max speed 180kph). I was using it for 4 years now, didn't realised the 'lsd driveshaft ' until it was dismantled by the workshop recently .

then get the 2.5L box, some come with vLSD, also you can use back the 260km/h meter. i am using one.

Worse, you get a similar size shaft, swap the bearing inside.

After some searching around chop shops and spareparts shop, finally found the LSD driveshaft . I've two option 1st: Brand new set from Taiwan (with warranty) cost around RM400-00!
2nd : Secondhand JDM unit from Chopshop cost :rm250-00 (with 1 week warranty).

After some serious thought, I have opted for the chopshop unit . Now I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hope that it will last as long as the new unit, hehehe....
