whats the difference with carbon fiber and carbon kevlar? the carbon kevlar is almost 1.5 times more expensive. plus is Varis's bonnet feel like metal bonnet, no flexing? because like cheaper carbon bonnet, bottom is fibre glass, and flexes while driving at high speed.

sorry for the small pic, photobucket auto-resize it.

Bonnet
96600 yen = RM3104.85 (carbon)
128100 yen = RM4117.3 (carbon kevlar)

Boot
79800 yen = RM2564.96 (carbon)
100800 yean = RM3240.19 (carbon kevlar)

i think it is fool proof too !~
Hahahahaa

Varis bonnet has 'bone' or frame to support and maintain the shape of the bonnet... It doesn't flex like cheap carbon fibre and it's very solid..... But i dunno why carbon kevlar is much more expensive......

well...basicaly kevlar is much more stronger...thats why its used as a bullet proof material for vests. even aviation fighter pilots bonedome(helmet) are made fm kevlar.

to get the raw material of kevlar requires a special permit due to its properties in that particular field. so its not cheap

just my 2 cents

if dat's d case, those who are using kevlar also needs permit rite?

nope...not really. only the fabricator or manufacturer requires it to bring the kevlar raw material (somesort like a controlled item)

once its made ready, mass produced, u just buy it....

lightness is bout the same....only strength.... carbon has more flexible properties

just adding up my 2 cents
