Hi guys,

I'm interested in buying a DC5 type R but want to find out how to see if its an original type R and not converted type-S.

Also, does the original type R comes in Red and Silver? As far as i know, it only comes in blue, black and white.

fake type R is a hot issue and its a major concern i think among our geng...i think slick's fren has been duped into buying a fake DC5 type r. Type iSa is not a Type R no matter how convincingly the salesman gives explanation or how much the car looks or feels like the original Type R. it’s a convert. Simple as that.

yes...ori dc5r comes with those two kalers red and silver. come and join 4 TT...the boys will explain more....

the photoshoot this sunday has been postponed until further notice. so watch this space for an update. btw what model u have in mind? the new facelift or prefacelift??

i'm currently looking at the 2003 model (pre facelift). But the original color is silver. Everything else looks type-R though.

Is there a webpage containing all the integra infos? I've been searching aroundn but can't find any.

i've known someone who owns a silver kaler ori dc5 type r...he is one of the zth member here but now MIA already . also i've read somewhere there is a red color dc5r...but i could be wrong...

Check the VIN tag, and engine number. I did my research thru the net and with the help of few senior owners here. One of our member - brother misri has collected a list of type-r chassis code & engine no from year 2001 till 2005 model (cars around KL).

Now im on mobile..a bit hard to post the link etc.

very seldom the Vin Tags are removed.

if they are replaced with a fake one , Puspakom & JPJ would have probably been alerted to it.....

if the authorities still OVERLOOKED that ......... then..... damn, that car deserved to be bought

championship white
nighthawk black pearl
artic blue pearl
satin silver metallic
milano red
