Anyone here own a cps and have done exhaust system modification?

Any place to recommend? Plan to go JFA @ Sunway.....

How much do you think? around 1.5-2k?

Any others good suggestion?

Hi cpslover,

How's your car doing so far? Anymore problems? Aren't modding your exhaust system will void your warranty?

Just go to JFA, sure satisfied. Their TIG welding on piping make it worth the price. Their stainless steel also different with other shop. Its real STAINLESS STEEL not like some cap ayam shop which last only for a month.

Hi Coolric,

You wont believe how many times i went to SC within two months from the date i took my car.
Including this coming monday, total 7 times.....

I make my complain through I-Care and end up the last visit they help to put up the technical team to look at my car....Surprisingly, they manage to get rid all the rattling sounds!!

With regards on engine jerking, according to them they found out "CPS Switch" may have problem that ignite the engine jerking. So this coming mon, goin to SC again to change tht parts.

Tht's why, now in dilemma. Not sure whether wan to change or wait till that long neck 5 yrs warranty..

Wait till your car done with this and that until all problem been solve by the SC. Wait till a month or two after everything fixed, if you car still in perfect condition, proceed with your modification plan.

Acmed!!!...Welcome back bud! So hows the CPS doing? :wavey::wavey::wavey:

I started mild mods already...but still with stock rims. Done any yet? Pic pics.

i agree...why take the risk of voiding ur warranty when you know youre car aint running perfectly just yet?

you should wait till the car seems to be fine.Give it a couple of months.

youre gonna end up forking out more cash getting the car to function normally instead of modifying the car...once the SC sees something not standard...they are going to use that to brush you off.

ad_eg is right.they will use ur mod as an excuses to void ur warranty.btw,rm2k is to much for
custom exhaust.wait till those big factory like everco to come out with their ready made piping.
it cost a lot cheaper and it's mandrel bent.their material is aluminised steel.i've use it before
for 4 years w/o any sign of rust.the rest of ur do,u can dump it on a branded muffler.

doing mechanical mods will definitely void your warranty unless you don't mind it. however, there are "wear-and-tear" parts in which proton doesn't provide warranty for (its in your service booklet) and you can change them without any issues. or you can DIY some things first like CAI. be patient bro, don't get too excited first and start changing without planning properly.

get to know your car's handling and what are its limits and your own limits first. when the time comes, start changing your suspension system and so on. then only you will feel the difference. most importantly, drive safely.

i used to own a satria 1.3 and i was using hotbits full exhaust system (from extractor all the way to muffler) and it only cost me rm1k. you should shop around for complete systems (don't buy separately and fix separately, why pay extra for workmanship?), find a set that is within your budget and has been tried and tested before (eg. feedback from owners in forums), then plan your purchase properly.

Bro, After I got my car I only manage to clock 500KMs on it before I had to leave for outstation. Up till now my brother in-law used it once for a week and clock another 500KM (and I am still not back from outstation!) So to answer your darn question I have no opportunity to even put tinting to my car! Sad sad woohh~

Anyhow I should be back next week and planning to take it for the it's 1st service (my wife cant drive a manual so she cant send it for service plus I dont trust anyone else to send it for me).....and I have already budget to replace the standard air filter to the K&N OEM replacement and perhaps the tinting as well.

Bump:

Serious kah Everco? OK OK some people might have their preference but honestly if ask me JFA is the best in the business. Every penny worth spent. Professional, clean and workmanship is a class above the rest. Everco mass produce but JFA customs~ and their clientèle ranges from Kancils to Italian Exotics. Plus it is locally owned.... 100% Malaysian talent. Belilah barangan buatan Malaysia!

Heheheheh!!!

yup, everco mass produce their product but it's worth the money u spend.
mass produce parts doesn't mean their quality is low but the price
will be reasonable.

Bottom line~ what is the result that you want to achieve. Most people I know set unreliable targets for their mods. Most of the time they over-do it and waste a lot of money in the process. SO if want a OEM replacement EVERCO if you want a balls out performance (depends on your definition of it) then JFA.

Just dont go to those Cap Ayam.

Yeah..agree totally, better safe than sorry. 1k - 1.5k is good for a decent system, I couldnt afford the high end so my setup is a bit rojak...hotbits extractor, zenden bullet, remain stock center box and Greeddy muffler.

Not noisy at all...just a nice bassy note...:driver::driver::driver:

but surela for performance..last time done it 4 my wira..

lot of R&D i go through b4 get the better response and fuel efficiency..

come the time only change the bullet coz it will be gone after 1 year of driving..

Yeah...why is it that the bullet is the first to go?

Bump: Yeah...why is it that the bullet is the first to go?

coz some cars like proton only have pre cat and main cat..

for extra power, they will change main cat wif bullet..

cat act as exhaust filter but somehow it block ur exhaust filter from going hi-flow..

bullet also do the same thing but somehow not all exhaust gases will be filter and dis allow hi-flow..

if ur car fix wif bullet,u need to very take care of ur exhaust system coz the filter effect will be gone faster than cat..

result, exhaust more loud at idling and high FC..

yup...that's true.btw, what i meant about everco is the piping alone.
not the muffler or the bullet.if u prefer s.steel, then u have to custom it.
