CPS (Cam Profile Switching) vs VVTI vs DVVT

Thats why they need to revised the engine cooling system before they can turbocharge it. But I hope the R3 would come out with a higher lift cam for the CPS, I prefer NA btw..

yeah, R3 do hav aggresive cams but fer non-cps!!

from wat i heard, cps is engaging the engine only on the intake side?
as fer a pale comparison, IIRC a vtec/vvti/mivec kicks both cams into aggresive mode on higher rpms?

means (read : probably) if a revised exhaust cam can be used, engine may run a lot cooler (let off more hot exhaust fumes out ), gives aggresive sound & better power too, albeit some trade-offs for idling & bottom to midrange?

am i rite or i need decaf?

I think they do not use secondary lobes for exhaust valve is due to the emission regulation. Even most newer honda also only has variable lift on the intake only.:hmmmm:

Why prefer NA more...? Have you tried to drive a turbocharged engine... If you had tried it, then you wanna more. Trust me but everything has a limit though.

Not sure what R3 has in mind about the new Campro CPS...anyone tried with a stage 3 R3 before? I seldom see R3 around.

Have you guys thought of rotary design if that is the case? ... isn't it more intake with faster exhaust would be faster... there is another design which is better efficiency than the rotary which is what people called as 'Quasiturbine'. Not in production mode yet though. Pls share more info with if you guys had heard of this before...I believe many people don't even know this design exists...

I've driven my friend stock EVO3 and converted Charade Aura Turbo. Yes, the acceleration is great but don't know, maybe as I grew older, become less interested in Turbo. And today my interest is going to continental cars rather than Japanese.

Every engine design has its advantage and disadvantage. Inline-4 has been used widely because it has a well balance advantage and disadvantage. Rotary is actually a small engine that can produce high power output but the maintenance is higher and need to be rebuilt after certain millage. Nowadays engine design are more to efficiency and practicality rather than power..

Well well well...anyway, turbo is a great thing in the automotive industry and it really does wonder to a lot of people. Is there a correlation between age and the type of car people are driving?

For my preference, I like something that is durable and yet, could give the 'ummph', I like my drive now and not regretted since I started using it...turbo is the way to go though. Not sure about the majority but I like it very much:biggrin:

What about a 'Touge' showdown between CPS, VVTI and DVVT ?

...Race to the sky...

Boyzone,
Did you switch off your lights yesterday btw 8.30~9.30pm:biggrin:.. I did actually.

Cheers !!

yup, we switch.. and I use my lappy to online
Btw, Euro4 control is good for our next generation.

What about Euro 4? You heard anything good about that or just a standard for all vehicles?

will KERS be used in our normal cars?... who knows right...? Press the button, extra 80bhp will be available straight away and it is unlimited supply of extra power.

u gonna ask which F1 team to design a KERS for u??... even them has no confidence in using it for race weekends....

Some hybrids and electric car already use this kind of system minus the 'boost' function.

Agree la but when people are more cautious to new things but I believe it gives an advantage during overtaking and in the straight. You could see a sudden difference in terms of the gap when the button is pressed. Give them sometime and who knows it will do wonders later on:proud:

You mean the KERS? Which manufacturer has this now btw... you mean the new Honda Civic Hybrid?

Forgot where, but it is called the 'regenarative brake' or sort. Sorry can't remember.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regenerative_braking

It means the same thing though but with different naming only...if you searched through the internet for Cam Profile Switching, you would notice that there are a lot of entries....

So far, no search found for Touge for CPS vs anything in the world..heard anything about supercharged CPS so far or not?

Hi there, sorry mods for interrupting this thread..hehehe....

here i need some advice or maybe a suggestion which brand is the best worth my money and also is ok to CPS engine if we twick a little bit like that.

(sorry for interrupting guys, i cant find any CPS engine modified in the web currently)

Those upgrades should not be a problem.
