If let say a NA engine have a 10:1 compression ratio....then i bolt on a turbo, can i run around 0.6-1.0 bar with rich AFR......cause this will make the engine have enough torque when turbo not providing boost thus city driving can be fuel saving and more easy to drive ~

But will this work?

but i'm not really sure with that static comp u can run boost that high...unless u were running racing fuel with retarded ignition timing.... :adore:

Ya but when you enrich the AFR, so the fuel consumption will drop also. So I don't think you aim for better FC will work in this case.

Thanks for all the kind reply =)

yeah, run dat boost but dont go aggressive on the tuning

What do you mean aggressive?

Cause BOT already cost me much thus decreasing the CR will be my stage 2..... or maybe can i decrease the CR by slapping on extra thick metal headgasket? will it be reliable ?

slapping on a thicker gasket means u can tune the engine to be more aggressive. aggressive means u can increase the ignition further and leaner mixture to gain more performance from the engine, this shud make it a more reliable setup compared to charging a higher CR engine

don think it can be fuel saving bro..as ur tuning wont be lean..

a thicker gasket will reduce in comp, and making it easier to setup/tune your expected boost.

b18c GSR's run a CR around that, and is widely known for being boosted.. how much boost it can handle with stock internals, not too sure..

fuel saving will not come from the tuning alone, but depends much on how u drive it later. iam running quite rich with the tuning for all of my car, but they are fuel saving imo
