Hi all. Need some help here guys. i want to really clean up my carb because i'm not satisfied when i go to workshop to service, they just take it out scrub a little with a 2 inch paint brush n some petrol then blow with air. can i take out the carb n dismantle it piece by piece, clean it n put it back together. will it go out of tune then? Or maybe u guys have a 'step by step' instruction for this? Is there also any gasket or anything that needs to be replace after taking out the carb? thanks all.

better not take it apart. there are some fine tuning on your carb and if you get the adjustments wrong you might get worse peformance. gasket is a problem too. once you take it apart, you need to change the gasket. if you really want to service your carb, there are some petrol additives that are on the market that you can use. those are supposed to clean the carb from the inside. I have not tried any of them so I can't guarantee anything =)

U can get Carburator Cleaner in JJ. Its a spray can around RM11 - RM15 with different brands. Observe the label on the can b4 buying..

Im using it and it cleans the carb gently. But u will need some tips on effective cleaning which the bottle doesnt specify. By the way, what car u driving ? Carb cleaning is not recommended regularly as it will make your car tuning lari and therefore need to send to the experts to do it for u.

Good luck bro! Any further questions can ask la. ;)
